"We" won't. Byes are only weeks 3-10. The Jets-Cowboys game will be played in Week 12.

I don't me to be picky, but it's actually a step further than that now. I realized this during the season. the byes are from week 3-9 now. In weeks 6 and 7 last season, they had 6 teams apiece have byes, so the net of 4 extra teams with byes allowed then to cut off a week.

Although I didn't read the reason anywhere, I'm pretty certain that it's due to the new SNF package. Since Flex scheduling begins week 10, they probably want a full slate of games to choose from. Your point is still correct, but I figured you'd still be interested.

Finally a little football with our Thanksgiving meal

If this has been mentioned already I apologize, but I am so excited that the Jets will finally get their first Thanksgiving game against Dallas Cowboys in Big D. Putting on the Green for ThanksGiving. WOO HOO!

Im not happy about this. I prefer not to play on Thanksgiving. I dont like the idea of the short week, and I can wait until Sunday to watch, while enjoying the other games on Thanksgiving... this way, if I miss a series or 2 being with the family, it's not a big deal.

(PS... the mods on here are merge happy).

Thanksgiving Game in Dallas? Anybody else going?

Since finding out that the Gang Green will be playing on Thanksgiving in Dallas, I have officially purchased my tickets, made my hotel reservations, and booked my flight.

Is anybody else from here going to "Big D" for the game? Maybe we can all meet up, and actually meet some new people and fellow Gang Greeners.

    Anybody else for this?

I think I'm going. I'll be wearing some blue and yellow and holding a sign that says "Joe Willie White Shoes <3s Titans Throwbacks!"

I think I'll be going, I made the promise to myself if they played on Thanksgiving I'd be there and well they are playing in Dallas. I think Marco V might be going as well as both of us live in Vegas and have already talked about it.

Where did you get your tickets BTW?

that just sucks, then. I read somewhere that they'd give byes to the Thanksgiving road teams in Week 11.

Playing Sunday (possibly on the road) and then travel to dallas for a thursday game is awful.

Denver got totally screwed last season. SNF game against big rival SD and then a road game a few days later against big rival KC.

I called the Dallas Cowboys ticket office. The number is on thier website. You have to buy a "package", which is the game ticket for Thanksgiving and the first preseason game...for a total of $110/ticket. I just plan on selling the preseason ticket on ebay for whatever i can get.....

I have friends that live in Irving, Texas, so it makes the total travel costs much less.....cuz i am staying with them. But i have to fly there from Californa.....but it should be cool to see friends, see the Jets, and enjoy Thanksgiving all in one trip!!!

Thats a good idea. If you get a ticket from stubhub or ebay it will probably be over 110, so selling the preseason game off is a good move. I am sure you can get atleast $25 each.
