If they weren't called penalties, I don't see what any Jets fan would have to complain about. As I said earlier in this thread, I'm pretty confident that Curtis Martin was a big fan of (running behind) Becht.
Jonathan Vilma - the guy produces no sacks, no interceptions, no tackles behind the line of scrimmage, and accumulates tackles 4 yards down the line of scrimmage - and gets applauded.
I won't say Anthony Becht, Kyle Brady, Doug Jolley or any other Jet TE who wore #88, because that's too easy. My vote goes to Bobby Houston, Joe Kelly or any other OLB who played opposite Mo Lewis and next to Kyle Clifton. They were always the weakest link.
none of the names mentioned really bring hatred into my mind. i know there were many that annoyed the hell out of me from time to time but i really cant say that i hated any of them. other than SPERM EDWARDS, i will say that i truely despise that man. he is the only jet that i can sit here and say i hate. yes i still hate him. hate doesnt fade quickly. you know the sheer hatred i have for herm is probably not allowing me to think of others that i despise as well. oh well herm will have to take the weight for the rest. herm edwards the only jet to ever be in my top 10 list of people who need to die. (its a joke) he was even #1 quite a few times.
Bubby Brister. The only QB to ever have a shovel pass intercepted, leading to Carolina's first ever win. Maybe the most embarrassing play I have ever seen. ESPN guys were laughing their a$$es off.
I thought the title of the thread was "Jets player you just cant stand past or present" not how the Bills did in 2006! Stick to the topic clown!!!fftopic:
Mark Gastineau, and did Kyle Brady have his college girlfriend up on the stage with him on Draft Day, or was that Kerry Collins? I forget now.
I hated Becht....everytime a ball was thrown his way I mean the result was almost a lock that it'd be a drop. Damien Robinson sucked, Chester Mcglocklan was a fat joke and I didn't like Marcus Coleman either. I love Mo Lewis but that sonofabitch didn't need to almost end Bledsoe's life, this whole thing with that bastard Brady could have been avoided. Actually I don't believe that Brady would have probably started eventually.
rofl Brister. yeah he was a joke. OH Christ Leak had a shovel pass intercepted against Arkansas in the SEC championship.
Probably Ty Law, most recently. Came from the Pats, went up there to hang with them during the week, had his own penalty named after him and thought he helped us out in a 4-12 season. For old-timers, anyone remember Donald Dykes from the late 70s? He was an accident waiting to happen, a DB and special teamer. Chris Ward used to piss me off too, so many big plays were called back by his holding penalties. His greatest moment was having his helmet ripped off his head and thrown at him, what does that tell you?
going back a ways, this is my 10 in no particular order 1. rich sowells 2. richie anderson 3. doug brien 4. blair thomas(see below) 5. steve tannen 6. ron moore 7. derrick blaylock 8. donald dykes 9. the db who Herm liked who had the gun(s) in his car 10. browning nagle (see below) the stupidity award is a tie between Blair Thomas and Browning Nagle. Thomas was rumored to be going to the jets months before the 1990 draft. When finally picked up ( by the JETS) and then put on espn for a soundbite Thomas exclaims "I looking forward to doing everything I can for the New York GIANTS, er jets." Nagle was about as stupid when the jets played the broncos in 92 and Nagle raised his arms to quiet the crowd so teammates could hear signals---when the crowd yelled even louder Nagle probably remembered the jets were playing IN DENVER at not at home.
