Definitely. He has the size (6'3" 245lbs.), he has the speed and skill to cover across the middle, and he hits like a sledge hammer. He'd be perfect playing next to Harris.

The organization is already high on Ratliff, we don't need a QB this year.

I guess this is the only good part, if any, of being out of play so early. We get to start our draft/FA dreams. As a big Gator fan, I do like him. So nice call.

Wikipedia does state that "Playoff teams cannot pick before non-playoff teams" so it looks like something is flawed with that order.

There's no guarantee the Jets will run a 3-4 with a new coach. And if you look at the team they're probably just as suited to a 4-3. Their DEs are not 3-4 DEs, Jenkins has played in the 4-3 most of his career. Harris can probably easily make the switch to a 4-3, and the other Jet linebackers have played there as well. It wouldn't take a whole lot to switch back to the 4-3.

Why would Miami take another QB? They have Henne in the wings, and they like him a lot. They also have Beck, who will be a backup.

The Jets were stupid in wasting a 2nd round pick on Clemens while passing on much better QBs... I'm not even talking first rounders- Brohm and Henne were both sitting there in the 2nd last year.

Mangini created this mess by neglecting the QB position- this season should have been an evaluation of Ratliff, Ainge, or, God forbid, Clemens or just stay the course with Pennington. 3rd round picks are valuable.

    Good point...

Although, I am glad we didn't spend a 1st on Leinart. When it's all said and done, I see him as a backup/marginal starter. Injury wise, he's on Chad's level.

I am disappointed that we lost out on Cutler though. I think he's really going to be something special. He's already good, and his team is pretty crappy.

WHo would you have taken? Who was better after Clemens was drafted that year? (I don't remember)

Last year, Henne would've required a 1st rd pick for the JETS to get him. Brohm's sitting 3rd on the GB depth chart behind a guy they drafted in the 7th round.

Marcus McNeil would have been a nice pick after Clemens :).

I want a WR or QB in the first or second. Anyone good we're looking at there?

I would have taken Cutler in the 1st and McNeill in Rd 2... hindsight is 20/20 though. I never understood the infatuation with Clemens in the first place. People were salivating over him like he was the second coming because Jaworski thought he was the best QB in the draft.

I like Spikes but I think Barton had a great year and doesn't need to be replaced..I like Bradford..I don't think Farve will be back and I think Bradford might be a stud on the next level..I just started to get into the draft though so this might change but I think we need a future Qb

I think the Jets D really needs a a really DE. Ellis was good and coleman is a backup, it would help Jenkins stay fresher if he wasn't the only guy on the line who could take on 2 blocks and still break up runs in the back field.

So who is the top of the DE pile????

I think 17 is too low for Crabtree and I wouldn't want Harvin because I don't trust any player that has played in that Urban Myer system.

Harvin's way too undersized, we need a DE as we had absolutely no pressure what so ever in the last 5 games of the season.
