Yeah, people are dismissing for the last two years. My feeling is, he is less banged up, and has relatively fresher legs, albeit rusty. TC n pre season is there to take care of the rustiness.
You know what hamstrings do when they're rusty? The problem isn't him not being back to full speed... the problem is about him breaking down. Revis, in his athletic prime held out for a month while still training and still had a bad hammy all year long... I'm guessing as much training as Plax did in jail he didn't have a lot of space to run around at his disposal...
WRONG! haha, he's just as tall if not taller then chris chambers, mccardell, buster davis, nanee, conway, all former charger wideouts during aj's tenure
Revis missed all of camp then played week 1, Burress will have all of camp to ease into the regular season. he may still pull something but it's not like the revis situation.
KOZ was referring to an inside joke on the forum. Only Chambers is shorter than Cotch. Everyone else is as tall or taller.
@TheJetsStream Manish Mehta Rex Ryan says #Jets will pass more this season. Foundation is still run game, but expect Sanchez to let it fly a bit more. #nyj
Injury pending, I think that height and reach is going to be the only thing that Plax has on Cotch at this stage of his career. I think in this upcoming season Cotch will have the crisper routes and better hands, not to mention he has the most experience being with Shotty since 06 and knows the playbook better.
Cotch is as good as gone... When he got mentioned to Tanny, Tanny didn't have to say anything, it was obvious.
considering Plax before prison was miles and miles better than Cotch...faster, bigger, better blocker, giant red zone target, I think youre going to be pleasantly surprised.
No trade will be made for him I'm sure of that with the back surgery, and if we cut him just to save room for next years cap with a fresh out of prison Plax as #2... I'm seriously going to lose a LOT of faith in Tanny. He needs to be restructured, coming off an injury riddled season with a looming back surgery to worry about I don't see why he wouldn't. I agree with mick that Derrick Mason would be a good option to replace Cotch, but Cotch is the best option for us.
I think Plax will play find.. Rusty at first. But I don't think you could ask for someone to step in for Braylon any more than this guy.
Im not sure of Plax's background regarding hamstring, but if he has never had the issue, chances are he'll stay clear of it. Simple conditioning can take care of it unless he's had a hamstring history.
