True, but what depth do we have at OT for this season? Aboushi? Brick is getting close to done. They could groom Lewan to replace Brick or Lewan might even beat out Giacommini. For that matter, if they had a fair, open competion, Lewan might even beat out Brick, or would at least push him to be a lot better. Dee Ford would be a reach at #18, but with a trade down or if Barr or Mack fell (which isn't bloody likely, but stranger things have happened). I think there's a very good chance DJAX winds up getting released. I agree that there seems to be too much bad blood between Kelly and he. If we're gonna bring him in, I'd rather it be as a FA and keep the draft pick. I wouldn't even want to give up a 5th for him. If we can sign him as a FA, then the Jets could conceivably add either ASJ or Niklas in round 2 or a WR like Davante Adams or maybe Jordan Matthews falls.
