i think taking time off is key, but I am not sure of an entire week. I just hope these guys are smart in their time off and aren't out on some Hangover type binge partying. That would be counterproductive and more destructive than anything else.

I was hoping our passing unit would run drills against our DBs. Those two unit have been our weakness this year so far. A few more reps could do them some good.
Definitely think they deserve some time off, and they need a little rest also. Just hope nobody gets in trouble.
I think Rex is playing it well. A full week off will pay dividends in the long run. They get another somewhat of a bye week after the T-giving night game and the Monday night Pats game. That should give the players another decent break before finishing the year with a tough schedule down the stretch. We should be fresh down the stretch and hopefully relatively healthy which will be crucial. As you wear down the tendency is to get nicked up a bit more
You guys in the USA seem to dislike the idea of holidays - in Europe we have far more time off with our families and it recharges you. Good for Rex...
I listened to Rex on Kay...he's a family man and wants time with his family and believes the players should have the same. I won't be critical unless they come out and play flat.
I don't mind it I'm pretty sure every team gives players at least a few days off during the bye So why not reward the guys for leading the league in wins at the bye

The team is a bit banged up. Let 'em refill the tank. A week is all the Jets need to prepare for the pack anyway.
These guys are all professionals. They'll enjoy some relaxation for their week off, but most of them will spend ample time working out, studying film, etc. Except for Holmes and Edwards. They'll probably be arrested for smoking weed on a plane with their iPods blaring, all while taking turns slappin bitches and throwing cocktail glasses at other passengers. This is the price we pay for filling our roster with poor character players...
