It's not supposed to be but that didn't stop Osi Umenyiora from blowing out his knee on a non-contact play.

I highly doubt that had anything to do with the field turf. It looked like it was just a freak thing.

Hard to say. People complain about a grass field giving way, but sometimes if the field doesn't give at all a knee or ankle will.

Bullshit. I live in North Jersey but go to school in Scranton. Looks like I'll be at the sports bar.

See that's the thing. You're flat out wrong. 2005 was the season Thompson set the Packers up to fail intentionally so he could fire Mike Sherman. He let both starting All-Pro guards walk via Free Agency (Mike Whale to Carolina and Marco Rivera to the Cowboys) and did not replace them. He started a rookie at Center. He drafted a QB (Aaron Rodgers in the first round) instead of getting another playmaker or an impact defensively player. They had the worst defense in the NFC that year. It was brutal.

Then instead of going 8-8 and firing Sherman, they saw SEASON-ENDING INJURIES to:

    Mike Flannigan (Pre-season)
    Ahmahn Green (week 2)
    Javon Walker (week 3)
    Robert Ferguson (week 5)
    Najeh Davenport (week 6)
    Tony Fisher (week 8)
    Noah Herron (week 10)
    Chad Clifton (week 10)
    Bubba Franks (week 12)

Brett tried to be Superman and had them in every game. Losing 9 or their 12 games by less than a TD. He was forced to try to make things happen and take chances late in games causing the high number of interceptions. His featured runining back from week 11 on was Samkon Gado. They were starting WR's names Taco Wallace, Andrae Thurman, and Rod Gardner.

Not even super man can win 9 games with that team.

Thomas Jones, Washington, Coles, Cotchery, Keller, etc are NOT Gado, Wallace, Thurman, and Gardner.

Brett was the easy scapegoat that year, but the roster was designed to fail so Sherman could be fired, and then the rash of injuries didn't help.

That season was the start of the feud between Brett and Ted Thompson because he set Brett up to fail and THAT is when Brett began taking a long time after each season to make up his mind becuase he wasn't sure if he wanted to continue playing with such a prick in charge.

This was the ONLY losing season in 17 years as the Packers QB.

****I would love if someone could start a thread and post this in that thread because I think it would be a great topic to discuss, but I do not have enough posts to do so yet.

Can someone tell me how the Jets, Giants, and Bills games are handled on NYC local TV? I live in VA and won't have Superfan access until week 4, but I receive NY local channels in HD.
