You do realize that point to point, a flight from Montana can sometimes be quicker than getting back home to some of the outlying areas?

Fedex Field has a similar problem. There are more seats and the Deadskins are in a smaller market, know what...they sell out every game regardless of how bad the drive and/or parking gets.

If you don't go someone else will.

I think it sucks but what options do you have?

If I owned the planet, I would pave over central park and put mini pavilians every ten cars or so with gas grills, tv's, music, and then send the ice cream truck up and down the isles except instead of ice cream I would sell raw meats like hot sausage, thick delmonico steaks, marinated chickens, 12 packs of ice cold beer, misquite wood chips, and bags of ice. I would have neked woman driving around in golf carts asking people if they're having fun and taking pictures.

Then, when the game that no one went to is over, I would shut off the beer and charge everyone $20 a car to leave.

Then, i would let the homeless in the collect all the empty beer cans and give them a penny each for them, keeping the other 4 cents.

    yes i would.

The key will be to get there very early even if you have a pass. How many unsuspecting people who bought tickets for a few games with out a pass will try and show up at the last minute and need to turn around and go to another lot?

Going to be alot of pissed off people who did not know the situation and the no tailgating in the offsite lots is going to be an issue for alot of people too.

I would bet there alot more empty seats at kickoff.

I feel bad for the ones with the RV's $750 ($75 per game in advance) just to park and tailgate. For the guys who show up 4 hours before and stake out the grass medians there may not be much of a change, but for everyone else it could be a major issue if they don't preplan their arrival.

I did not see anything about reclaiming the parking spots, who knows if and when the old stadium will come down. Guess they are banking on the rail line and people will probably be so annoyed with it that they will flock to it in droves.

Maybe that is the plan, discourage the casual tailgaters, sell more beer and food in the new stadium?

There may come a day when many people are wishing they had the old stadium back, oh well nothing is permanent but change is!

I remember reading that once the new stadium is built, and the teams moved in, the old will come down and be used for parking among other things.

Parking is going to suck for a few years, no question, but when the new stadium opens it will be much improved, in my personal opinion.

they are going to have certain lots designated to how you come in, so if you take Rt 3 for instance, you drive in a certain entrance and park in an area right where you come in, no more going all the way behind the racetrack if you come at 11:30 for a 1pm game, no more driving around for a half hour.

this may be an issue for tailgaters who meet in certain areas and will have to walk to them now, but in general it is a much better policy that will clear congestion before/after games.

i know it's a lot to handle now with the stadium, Xanadu, giants facility, rail station being built and parking at medieval times for $15 is no fun at all, but it will get better, trust me.

it's supposed to be done in time for the new stadium in 2010...the stations are already being built in the meadowlands, but i'm skeptical having seen no construction on the tracks to the stadium as well as nothing rt 3 or 17 as far as new on ramps etc
