thats exactly why we have the "soj" attitude from so many jets fans. accept losing seasons as long as we win a couple of games. and yes, we're a wounded beast, but more likely about to be slayed, than surprise anyone..
Jets? Ryan humbled as he talks of matchup with Patriots by SHALISE MANZA YOUNG - Nov. 19, 2009 > http://www.projo.com/patriots/content/sp_fbn_patriots19_11-19-09_VPGGOFG_v2.30eef36.html
fyi : w/ jim leonhard not likely to play this Sunday due to a fx r. thumb, it looks like d. harris will wear the wired helmet for the D signals.
I know every game is different but I see the Pats putting up 35 against the Jets this week, they are healthy and we are not, we are getting nothing from our special teams and our defense is having a hard time right now, so if our offense does not keep us in this game we will be 4-6. The NFL is about matchups and the Pats showed last week that they can make it difficult for other teams to match up against them, I hope it's close but with only one dimension of our team producing right now I don't see it.
I don't see 35. They've done a pretty decent job on Moss so the big play might be less of something to worry about. Also, the Jets seem to be worst on defending the run, which luckily for them the Pats cant do. I think there's a decent chance they try doing long drives and Wes Welkering the Jets to death with the short passes and focus on trying to make Sanchez throw, equaling lower scores.
We have enough tape on these guys to play well. If our secondary plays like they did in the first matchup or like in the NO game we have a shot. Sanchez needs to play nice and conservative.
Before the colt game I thought the pats would beat us. Now I think they are gonna destroy us. We are gonna have to face one pissed off coach, and I think he isn't gonna show us any mercy. I should start stocking up on my liquor, this game could get scary embarrassing really quickly.
Im feeling a bit of an unraveling for the patriots this week to be honest. Why not, anyway? What's one more disappointment as a jets fan? At this point, I feel better about being optimistic all week rather than numbing myself and preparing for a brutal loss. Still, I talk a big game but I might end up wanting to sleep in on monday morning with jets hangover. Well see.
Although I hope the Jets beat the Pats, it will be a tough task. Brady is playing a lot better after shaking off the rust and getting through the mental part of coming back, Welker is healthy this game, Jenkins is out, the secondary has suffered some injuries and now Leonhard is out. Of course anything can happen on any given Sunday but this would be a huge upset if the Jets win. Good luck!
New York Jets bring out worst by Jim Lazar - Nov. 20, 2009 > http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/...Patriots+-+Patriots+&+NFL+-+BostonHerald.com)
The Pats and their fans are every bit as guilty in being loud mouths. Its the nature of the game. Competitive spirit will bring out the smack talk in all of us. I have to tell ya' ..that did sting a little airing out the lack of titles by the Jets.
Um...need I point out that YOU are the one on a Jets message board talking shit? Has that fact escaped you?
This weekend should be a good hard dog fight.. Do I think the Jets will win? No, but I sure as hell wont concede that. My madden simulation says the jets win 24.4-22.3...
