DE WR HB S DT CB If we trade down from the first we should be able to fill most our needs in the first 5 rounds. And hopefully we can still grab 2 decent guys off free agency. Kinda hoping we could get maybe a DE/DT since were not gonna get a solid hb/young wr off it. I think we could get a good safety in the 3rd, a wr in the 4th, and a suitable #3 corner in the 5th. Then we grab a DL + HB both in the 2nd, and hopefully an olb (like A thomas, and maybe a DE like Dwan Edwards in free agency) If we get LT as our # 3 hb thats a plus also. If we somehow get rid of Leon Washington for a 2nd rounder, we could be absolutely completely stacked by opening day. Thatd allow us to get a DE/DT/HB all in the 2nd (assuming we traded down) and every single need (outside of OL depth) is set. Good things are ahead
I think our needs our now 1. S 2. RB 3. DL 4. WR 5. OL 6. OLB 7. CB 8. P 9. FB 10. TE I cant face that we are going to JUST have Pool at FS the whole season, thats a complete downgrade IMO. Guys lik Earl Thomas, Nate Allen, Chris Cook, Chad Jones, and Morgan Burnett are much better solution if we are just addressing the safety via draft. The ideal situation would be to get Atogwe for the Rams, hes a ballhawk who had 8 ints on a below average defense.
I'm trying to be a dick, but you know how to read? You created that unneeded fullback thread and another poster sent you a link to a bigger and better thread. Jason Davis will replace Tony Richardson if he doesn't return to the Jets.
Tanny already said he's going to get another corner for Rex and we're only talking about a dime so I left it off the list. Maybe next decade.
I wonder if his cousin DRCromartie has some kids too...we could soon have 10+ Cromartie's as CBs in the NFL.
Dude, I love the enthusiasm, but those green-tinted glasses are so thick I hope you aren't walking in to things! The Jets have some wholes to fill, but they have FAR less than most teams do. The most obvious need is RB. Greene looked damn good, but he also got hurt while only playing in limited duty. We don't know the status of Leon's health or if he'll even be on the team this season; RB is a HUGE need. WR is another one. If the Jets plan on giving Sanchez the expanded role they've purported to thusfar in the offseason they need more talent at the position. Edwards and Cotchery are great, but the drop off to the slot man (Clowney) is quite possibly the steepest from #2 to #3 in the league. While not a huge problem right now, if either of the two starters goes down you have a good #1 WR and absolute crap at #2. Besides that, DEPTH in both trenches. The secondary could also use some depth in general. I agree with you that the Jets don't have any pressing needs. You don't have one position that you look at and say "man, we're screwed if we don't fix this," but that doesn't mean you don't have any needs.
