Fred Bowman, a lot of the teams you listed need a LEFT tackle. Our team has one of the best in the league.

We might be able to find a replacement for Woody in the second or third round.

I think since we are in this run, provided he does not get embarrassed on sunday, means Woody is most likely still with the team so your most likely not going to draft a tackle early especially if you know you can get developmental types in the latter rounds

meeh Woody is 33, fat and has had a couple of injuries plus remember we don't need an adecquate RT... we need an elite RT! Our Ol needs to be elite if we want to run the ball at will against 8/9 man in the box...

Offensive linemen are supposed to be fat.

This team needs to find a replacement for Damien Woody, but that replacement player doesn't have to come in and start right away. Drafting a guy like Chris Scott would give us a versatile player that could sit and learn the system in his first year and then take over when Woody is no longer serviceable.

Our offensive line is basically elite - we're the #1 rushing team in the league and Sanchez rarely gets sacked. We just need it to stay that way. Alan Faneca and Damien Woody are only concerns because they are getting older, that's why this team needs to find replacements, because they won't be in this league much longer. It has nothing to do with play.

    4. Mark Sanchez will continue to develop as a passer, which means teams won't be able to stack the box for much longer.

I think that the Jest will need a DE and Safty to be a really dominate defense for a long time. On offense they need a true no 1 receiver that can actually catch a ball to open up the pass game. TJ i think will be gone next year cause Him and Leon are looking for huge contracts and they can't afford to pay both. With Greene taking the job and playing so well i think that he can handle the load.

  7. Well we do have 3 back-up linemen the staff seems pretty high on. Turner is VERY quick off the snap, Hunter is a dominant run blocker and there are whispers that Callahan is very high on Slauson who happens to be very versatile. I think between Turner and Slauson our interior depth is solid. However, Hunter can't play RT and is more comfortable at LT..So i could see a need at back-up RT.

As for other major needs...I'm kind of backing off the DL depth concerns. Have you seen the way Rex has Pouha,Green and Devitto playing? these guys were average back-ups at best under Mangini.Based on this, is it really worth spending an early round pick on a DE? Unless the guy is a true playmaker...perhaps we hold off and draft a project late.

Believe it or not, I think our biggest area of need is slot reciever/Punt returner. We need somebody who can do some patterns over the middle and get some YAC to give Sanchez another option as well as take pressure off of Edwards and Cotchery. Additionally, Cotchery is a serviceable punt returner, but he is not a threat to ever take it the distance and really the best thing he DOES as punt returner is not fumble. If we're gonna have a "ground and pound" philosophy and rely on our defense long term..we need to do better in the field position battle.

Right but do you think Tanny is going to hurt the chemistry of one of the best offensive lines in football, unless a big red flag comes up I cant see why he would

Sounds like you're agreeing with me more than disagreeing.

Slot WR is a big need, but let's not forget the age of our D-line. I have Alex Carrington, a project with ton's of ability, in my latest mock in rd 5.

Drafting a player for just punt returning skills, especially early, isn't the best choice.

A few slot receivers in this draft can be excellent punt returners....let's get a good position player than can multi-task.

We are very thin on the right side of the offensive line as well as being thin at LB. DL is also a priority as well. Whomever is the best player to pick at any of those positions is who I want.
