Jets meeting with Brunell

Bulger makes much more sense than Brunell.

Mark Brunell wants to sign with the New York Jets.

However, he can't at this time.

That's because of two reasons.

One, as the New York Post points out, the Jets can only sign one free agent as a Final Four team that has lost one free agent in kicker Jay Feely.

Two, the Jets are reportedly on the verge of agreeing to terms as early as next week with veteran pass rusher Jason Taylor.

If that happens, then Brunell can't join the Jets.

So, there's only one spot available for two veteran free agents.

And it looks like Taylor is going to be the one to fill it.

 

Heard on the Radio that Brunell will wait til july 22nd to sign with the jets. trying to find a link.

clemens was never a full season starter. the people who don't want brunell are crazy. yeah he is a old son of a bitch, but clemens is just a true bitch.

Agreed, but Bulger still wants to be a starter and Brunell knows his career is hanging by a thread.

You guys have to learn to close the gate to the bullshit forum behind you when you leave. Otherwise the animals get out.

 

For God's sake.. If you think Brunell should be our backup because he'd be able to handle the responsibility and step up when he's needed, that's one thing. But we don't need to sign anyone just to be Sanchez's "mentor". We have a good coaching staff and Sanchez has already shown he's headed down the right track. What he needs now is some experience and a good team surrounding him and he'll be fine.

I think that having five QBs on the roster would be the last reason for this move, after some inane and overly complicated reason to fold the franchise.
