That's my concern. We don't need to tie up a roster spot if he can't perform.

Last year's version wouldn't have had the time to make that throw. Last year's version of receivers wouldn't have gotten open or made that catch either.

If he signs in NY for the same price he signed in SF last offseason ($1 million), what's the downside?

He was busy watching the stars & little birdies circle around his head as he picked himself off the turf

So after further reading about Chaz Schilens, he's a pretty decent run blocker in a raw kind of way. If we had both he and Braylon, it would be similar to having Braylon and Brad Smith, in a WR run-blocking sense.

We didnt have a true deep threat last year that could get open like Braylon could for Sanchez, plus the blocking.

I miss those bombs to Braylon.

Anybody expecting 2009-2010 Braylon Edwards needs to slow down. He's a straight-line receiver with a knee issue and as good a blocker as he is, he now has an issue with his shoulder. He's not going to be the same player.

Still an old broken down LT is better than no LT at all. Or that argument 2 years ago anyway. I think the only issue is whether we can find room in our draft budget to get more player right away with upside and no health concerns.

199 Yes' and 4 No's... Braylon has good chemistry with Sanchez something we were missing last year. He's probably not going to be that much compared to how much he wanted as a pay raise last time.

It would be a good pairing with Chaz Schillens though. Hopefully out of the two one could be healthy most of the season.

Even if Braylon isn't the exact player he was, he could still be close to that. It's not unrealistic to work him out and give him a cheap deal. What's the worst that could happen?
