First year injury and didn't play all year. Maybe he never got back to 100% and Mangini wanted to cut the dead weight.

I just read the email from nyjets.com, DAMMIT! Man I'm pissed right now, now we gotta find 2 QBs, we have no more on the roster of starting caliber. I'm shocked, to say the least and angry.

Ty Law indicated he wanted to retire a Patriot. Does anyone see him returning to the Pats in 2006?

It's not that big of a deal. I'm angry, but not to that point.

From the start of the season, would you have preffered jay over chad knowing that chad wasn't 100%?

It doesnt matter he sucks, it was pre-season. Who went against the 2nd string defense. Against Jax Fiedler was in for approximately 4 seconds. KC was also against 2nd string in mop-up time. We are going to draft a qb better than Fiedler or else sign a veteran who at worst is of the same talent level.

Is it possible to re-sign any of these guys to a lesser contract, or are there restrictions on that sort of thing?

    Pre-season? PRE-SEASON??!!?

He came in down 27-0 against KC. I'm sure their defense was playing as if it were overtime of the Super Bowl. :rofl2:

He threw 3 passes against Jacksonville. THREE!!!

No one knows if Jay will be 100%, either. He likely won't be.

I could never imagine someone being upset with the team releasing an average at best QB with a high cap number and a bad shoulder. But everyone is different, I guess. :rofl2:

I'm used to stuff like that, people get cut all the time for me when I buy a jersey of them, just keep wearing them anyway. (K. Johnson, S. Moss, J. Fiedler, etc.)
