    That can't be

    In '67 Namath threw for 4007 yards in 14 games
    there has to have been some back to back 300 yard games

    I stand corrected - I misread the tweet. It was Cimini he said it was the first time two different Jets quarterbacks threw for 300 yards in consecutive weeks.

    I also just looked at the 1967 stats - Namath did throw for well over 300 in back to back games week 2 and week 3 in fact he hit 399 yards in the week 2 game and 415 in the week 3 game …. He may have done more but I didn’t look any further.
