I'll still use the Jets online - I don't really care about the lack of a big time receiver. I'll be fine with Cotchery, Keller, and Washington. David Clowney could be a nasty deep threat on play-action fakes too.
I just noticed that Kerry Rhodes has 82 speed and Jim Leonhard has 83 speed. It's going to be very easy to pass deep on the Jets. How in the hell can they give Leonhard 83 speed when he's a pretty good punt returner?
I guess "statistically" we suck I just want to know how much the ratings really effect the game because you can have like a receiving corp in the 70s and still be legit
The two most bogus ratings are Leon (79 who should easily be 85+) and Harris (74 much too low even for last year's performance). Keller should also be 80+, but it depends on how they scored the rest of the league. I remember Madden being very generous with their ratings in years past. I miss the 2K series.
They made a point of lowering the ratings for a lot of guys this year. They want there to be a noticeable difference between superstars and everyone else.
Not really Just compare us to a few other teams. So far our O-Line is looking real good. Also, we have alot of guys rated 90 or higher than most teams...I think we look good, not GREAT but good http://espn.go.com/videogames/features/madden/madden10?teamId=21

After seeing New England's ratings...I think we match up with them nicely on Off & Def Thanks for posting. Do you have the Steelers?

I have a feeling that's gonna suck. I have a feeling that guys like Peterson and Fitzgerald are gonna be absolutely impossible to stop.
The Cardinals are going to be impossible to stop online. Boldin and Fitzgerald, plus Beanie Wells and Kurt Warner.
We beat Arizona in real life..I'm sure I can beat them online too. Won't be easy though, but having Revis, Lito, Rhodes & Leonard in the back field I like my chances
I just finished watching some of the titans/ravens video. Speed guys like Chris Johnson and Yamon Figurs def'n seemed like difference makers. This is a good sign b/c we have 4 guys capable of truly creating mismatches. Thomas Jones (Thanks to an off year for the afc he is a top 10 rb and should be a key weapon in our ball control O) Leon W (Despite his OVR rating he still has some burners) David Clowney (He will probably be my no.3 wr when I play with the jets) Dustin Keller (Big time mismatch with his Speed) For people intent on playing with the jets 70% of the offense should be focused around those 4. This is fine for me since I'm big fan of pass catching TE's....I'll just pray he doesn't get hurt b/c if he goes down things will go badly. quickly. Finding ways to get Jones and Washington on the field as the same time may also pay dividends. As for the ratings:At first I was shocked at our ratings but looking at more teams they certainly did tone the number down this year. It makes sense to only have superstars in 90's....being in the 90's lost its meaning last year. btw...David Harris did get cheated. I bet it won't be that low mid way through the season though.
Kellen Clemens a 69? Wow. How quickly he has fallen in the eyes of the EA Sports people. David Harris, Marques Douglas, Dustin Keller & Chansi Stuckey are way too low as well. And "lol" at Eric Wilbur as the punter and a 38. He isn't even on the roster anymore and Training Camp is 3, 3 and a half weeks away. Hopefully they'll edit that and put Reggie Hodges on the roster before the game is released on 8/14.
