Only in your wildest dreams. To think that Fresno could even hold a candle is delusional.

We'll see...it's an ABC nationally televised game on Labor Day. Fresno's supposed to be ranked somewhere between 18 and 25 in the pre-season polls.

I think Rutgers will be able to run the ball on Fresno, but there's no way in hell Rutgers will be able to stop Fresno from putting up anything less than 35 points. 8 starters are coming back to the Bulldogs offense. Fresno's the faster team, especially on offense.

Remember these four names: QB Tommy Brandstater, RB Ryan Mathews, WR Marlon Moore, and TE Bear Pascoe. Rutgers will be having nightmares about these guys.

    Anyone. Anytime. Anywhere.

We'll see. I think it's going to be a shootout, and Fresno has more experience...and more fire power.

Britt and Underwood scare me...but the Scarlet Knights have an unproven backfield now that Rice is gone, and they lost a lot of players on both sides of the ball.

dude im sorry i watched ru last year and with them losing there starting two tackes, Ray Rice and most of there defense, i see them slipping into mediocrity again.

Yes they have good recievers but are you kidding me Teal just blows chunks and without a runningame he will have to step up, something i dont think he can do.

Fresno's a good team, and Rutgers should take a step back. That game could go either way.

The game's going to be a shootout, neither team will score less than 30 points. I think Rutgers will win, mostly because I believe that the Rutgers Pass Defense has a big time advantage, but it will be a battle all the way through. Mike Teel showed some huge strides last year, and has a stable of good wideouts this year, namely Underwood/Britt, a top ten national WR tandem.

I don't know about Rutgers having the better pass defense. Fresno two starting safeties, Moses Harris and Marvin Haynes, are both three year starters going into their senior season. AJ Jefferson, Fresno's All-American return man, will man one corner position, while two year starter Damion Owens will start on the opposite side. Experience should help out Fresno in this game.

Rutgers' safety Courtney Greene and starting corners, the McCourty brothers, are a very solid secondary...but who takes over for the former star Ron Girault at the other safety spot?

Fresno State is only losing 3 starters on it's entire team: LB Marcus Riley, DE Tyler Clutts, and OL Ryan Wendell. Clifton Smith will also be a big loss at RB, but Ryan Mathews rushed for 14 TDs in only 8 games as a freshman.

Ebahn Feathers could be huge in this game for Fresno. He's a 6'1 210 true freshman QB that runs a 4.38 40. I'm really excited to see him take the field for the Bulldogs.

It should go down the wire...

Girault missed a good portion of last year with an injury, Glenn Lee and Joe Lefeged will replace him, and they've both seen some decent time in their careers.

AJ Jefferson scares me in the return game, but it'll be a tough first start for him against whoever he draws from RU.
