I said right below the link that they didn't mention the Jets at all, and Clayton said in the video that they might have to give up a 1st and a 4th to get him.
You need to look for those precious 4 letters 'ESPN' in any link you click and then decide if you have minutes of your life to completely waste on nothing worthwhile.
If we make "one more deal" with KC and whoever is in "charge" at that time, shoud not be able, ever in life to "vote" "protest" "marry" or "work" or "have rights" within The Contininetal United States Of America.
I don't care how good he is, he's basically pre-prison at this point, its just a matter of time. Pass. Perhaps the ladies out there should NOT date this man.
Lets Mortgage the entire future of the team to obtain the services of a girlfrriendbeating psychopath. Hey at least he didn't kill dogs : )
Well, if they were going to make a deal it would have to be today or tomorrow. After that you have the game, another day off and two more days of practice before the Eagles. Doesn't look like it will happen. Maybe a pickup from the final cuts but I don't see anything else.
Good point, but a scary one. The NFL comes down harder on dog killers than a man who beats a woman. Thats just fucked up.
The more I think about this the Jets really have to get another receiver. Even if it is only a track star with cement hands (Johnnie Lamm Jones type). Somebody who can run fast down field to keep the defense honest. Otherwise their fresh young rookie QB may end up getting killed. I'm sure that's why they added Clowney to the 1s but I don't think that's enough.
Who knows, it's PFT after all but... The Jets and Ravens are aware of this, and are reportedly "keeping a close eye" on the Eagles wideouts, according to Paul Domowitch of the Philadelhphia Daily News. It's not clear what receivers the AFC teams are looking at, but Reggie Brown is the best guess. The 2005 second-round pick's career has slid the last two years, but he produced 1,596 yards with 12 scores between 2006-2007, so he's not without talent. Brown isn't guaranteed to make the Eagles roster presently, with Jason Avant in the slot, rookie first-rounder Jeremy Maclin on board, and Hank Baskett helping out on special teams and reality shows. (DeSean Jackson and Kevin Curtis are the starters.) Brown may only be sixth on the depth chart in Philadelphia, but he would likely find playing time on either the Ravens or Jets. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/08/26/jets-ravens-sniffing-around-eagles-receivers/
Reggie Brown is injury prone....which is why he plummeted down the Eagles' depth chart. I hope the Jets aren't seriously looking at him.....there HAS to be better garbage on the TC scrapheap than R.Brown.
This wouldn't surprise me at all, Scott Cohen used to be one of the head personnel guys for the Eagles. I'm pretty sure he was instrumental in the Sheppard trade.
I'd like Reggie Brown for free instead of paying big for the wife-beater. Its generally a rough year for WR depth here, Brown would be instantly the #4 reciever, and possibly be higher
This is probably one of those mountain out of a molehill things, but I may as well share: Marshall Missing From Broncos' Practice Posted Aug 27, 2009 5:20PM By Josh Alper (RSS feed) Filed Under: Broncos, NFL Training Camp Brandon MarshallEarlier this week it looked like Brandon Marshall and the Broncos had made steps toward finding a way to work together, but Thursday brought new reasons for uncertainty. Marshall wasn't present when the Broncos convened for practice, just a couple of days after he was restored to a starting position on the team's depth chart. There's no word out of Broncos camp as yet about why Marshall was absent. He could have aggravated his hip injury during practice on Wednesday, when he was a full participant, or it could have something to do with his ongoing unhappiness about his contract. The third, and most intriguing, option is that it could have something to do with his trade demand. Teams around the league now have a pretty good idea about what they have at wide receiver entering the season, and there's been renewed chatter from some of them about upgrading that position. The Jets and Ravens, for example, are said to be monitoring the Eagles to see if their deep corps yields any players who could bolster their iffy talent at the position. The Jets, in particular, seem like an intriguing option for a Marshall deal. They have Jerricho Cotchery and a lot of question marks at wideout at present. New York general manager Mike Tannenbaum has shown willingness to make bold moves in the past. With Mark Sanchez officially installed as the starter, the team may be looking to surround him with as much talent as possible in order to make his job as easy as possible. For now, though, all we know is that Marshall is again away from the field and that it is highly unlikely he'll be on the field when Jay Cutler returns to Denver on Sunday night. http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/08/27/brandon-marshall-missing-from-broncos-practice/
I was really hoping Tanny would pull off a great deal and land us a #1 receiver but have become disappointed knowing the FO might trade for or sign another #2/#3 quality WR. If that is the option, then just stay with what we brought to the dance. I would rather have no one and give Clowney a shot than sign another Justin McCareins type WR.
our 1st round pick needs to stay untouched and intact.........if Tanny can pull off the deal with that stipulation....then i'm for it. If he trades away our pick.....our DL/OL depth problems won't be solved next year.
