Ap yes, but there no market anymore for running backs anymore. It's like they become irrelevant over night.
Oh ok. I agree though. First i was opposed to it but when i think about the fact that all this team has been missing was that momentum shifting game changing play maker that it literally only takes ONE play to do so... It sounds like a pretty good idea.
I love how people change up when you make a point against them. He was saying the money for RB is no longer there. All he does is look at what people on market had sign for not how talented they are. Hell maybe he is Izdik. Lol
I definitely agree that CJ would want to be the every-down back, but I think other elements could also come into play. The Jets are a run-first offense with some good run blockers, and they might present it to him as an opportunity where he can earn more playing time based on how well he does. It'll depend a lot on what the other potential landing spots have to offer, though.
Ivory and Powell are scrubs? Not really. CJ/Ivory would platoon, and Powell would occasionally come in.
They aren't very good it's just all the jets have had so fans think they are better than they are. Chris Johnson is a legitimate starting NFL RB. Those guys aren't.
C.J would be a great addition. That home run threat this team needs. Plus he would force teams to play more man on the outside when they stack the box trying to stop him. It would give geno or vick easier reads and make play action that much more effective. I think he becomes a jet around may 10
Jay, if you can get an impact player cheap why not. We have none on offense unless you consider Mike Vick that player. Worth some kind of a gamble.
Chris Johnson is under contract to the Titans and there are no reports they are trying to trade him. we aren't getting him, at this point, the same way we aren't getting Tom Brady.
Decker, Ivory, and Breno look like good starters to me. He's been signing a bunch of zero-risk players lately in the hopes of finding someone who will emerge in training camp, but that doesn't preclude him from making other moves.
CJ wasn't too much better than Greene last year which is surprising. Despite the tread on the tires I think he probably has something left on the tires but it probably needs to be a 60-40 split with Powell as the 3 spelling both of them. We could absolutely pound it down on everybody with that combination of guys. It would have to be at something reason able because the RB has become almost interchangable in todays NFL. I'd send them a 5th if they want him gone, otherwise I'd wait it out.
