There is no evidence that Rex has drawn any player to the Jets, let alone being a "favorite to play for". Idzik hasn't created any stampedes either. I'm not saying either has done a bad job, but let's not make up an argument.
off the top of my head Bart Scott, Jim Leonard, trevor price, ed reed, willie colon, leger douzable, and dawan Landry are all players who said they came or stayed on the Jets because of Rex Ryan. Not to mention he consistently ranks in the top 5 of coaches players want to play for.

It makes more sense he is referring to the airport, that probably means he officially was released and he is at the airport to start visiting teams.

21% is not "most". It may be the highest number, but 79% picked someone else. Is there really any current player on any team that says their coach sucks? I like Rex, but we just went through 3 weeks of FA and not one top CB came to play for Rex, no safeties or LB's either.
Don't be pointlessly argumentative. He was listed as the favorite coach to play for, of course not every player in the league will want to play for him. The only thing that matters is who are the coaches of the other teams courting a guy in free agency. Idzik was not spending top dollar on a CB this free agency, and that has nothing to do with Rex Ryan's appeal. It may not have had anything to do with it, but Demitri Patterson could have picked us over other teams offering the same deal, same goes for Decker, and we know the same goes for Colon and Pace because they publicly stated it. I'm not saying Rex Ryan can work miracles here.

Chris Johnson is not known as being the most heady player out there, but showing excitement about meeting with a specific team before signing is a huge no-no for players. If he really did mean the Jets, which I doubt, he is getting a serious spanking from his agent right now. I think he is probably referring more to the jet-setting he will be doing visiting various teams.
