AMEN! Clarke had one of the worst seasons by an O lineman I can ever remember. By far my biggest disappointment of last season. I had hoped he would be good, but never imagined he could possibly be so bad.
Now McCareins can stay home and drop his own baby............man is he the suck. Clarke maybe the worst position player in the entire NFL. Dyson has not been the same since the Miami game in 2006. At least he was NFL caliber the other 2 can suck an egg.
All bow to the great MrElectric who predicted that we would cut players...this isn't surprising any of us
I'm glad to see McCariens and Clarke gone I was kinda shocked about Dyson though, I'd say I have to agree totally with this assessment! Good deal Mangini and Tannenbaum, I TOO think they are riding themselves of the players that do not fit their system Good work.
Jeez. Now who's going to drop balls, serve our qb on a silver platter, and get burned on defense? I forget who posted those pix above, but where did you find a picture of McCareins holding the ball?! Gotta be photoshop.
I agree on Dyson. Injury is suspect. The rubbing hands comment killeded. That's exactly how I feel. I'm all giddy inside. GET YOUR POPCORN READY!
I liked Dyson- but the moves clear cap room. If the Jets are indeed looking to sign Asante Samuel, and/or Alan Faneca Friday or shortly after...then this move makes sense.
Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish Thank god McSlapnuts is gone. That dog cost us at least 5 games over the last two years BY HIMSELF. Long overdue ats_suck:
I agree...I think of all the the moves that we have been linked to (Shaun Rogers, Asante Samuel, Calvin Pace, and Alan Faneca) I think Faneca is the most likely to happen. All smart cuts and I hope we can lure Faneca to NY
I think 5 games may be stretching it, but he certainly didn't belong on this team anymore. So long Justin.
We released three bad players today; I can't complain. I liked Dyson in 2006... it was sad to see him fall apart this year. Our CB depth is O.K. though.
Problem with colvin, is he's like J.Abe.. fantastic on the field, but hurt too much for the money Don't be too shocked with dyson, he could be back on the jets come TC.
Its the first good move we've made in a year. And fyi, Dyson lost his starting job to Revis and then got placed in the Eric Mangini dog house for the remainder of the year, going inactive for no reason on gamedays. All three guys were taking up roster and cap space. Does anyone know the extent of the cap hit?
