"In 2008 Cook was the team's leading tackler but was declared academically ineligible for the Outback Bowl." Yep, this should be interesting.
So basically the Jets just signed Bobby Boucher'...
Emanuel Cook the perfect player for James Ihedigbo's role. E-Cook hits like a truck, but like every healthy safety on our roster, he has trouble in coverage.
Our boy Sanchize is a very good 28, the same as Drew Brees. Brady is a whopping 33. http://www.faniq.com/blog/2009-NFL-Wonderlic-Scores-Matt-Stafford-Impresses-Blog-20999
I know I will get bashed for this but(though we had to trade him)Kerry Rhodes is looking pretty dumb. Sure we had to let him go because of disputes/problems, and had a bad season but he excells in coverage
He's going to at least play some ST right off the bat, that's is where I will miss Dig the most. On almost every kickoff he seems to be in on every play. Not to mention Ihedigbo's 3 sacks this year, sucks he was just hitting his stride on the defensive side, at least for what his role is.
lol @ Hakeem Nicks' 11. Although it goes to show that intelligence means very little in football for most positions. Percy Harvin, 12. Dan Marino, 16. Yeah...
Stafford scored hire than Brady. If the Lions could get some muscle on that kid he could have a wonderful career. Simms says that's the problem with him BTW.
Here are some sample Wonderlic questions. http://espn.go.com/page2/s/closer/020228test.html Mostly easy stuff, a couple math problems that I was too lazy to do w/o excel (didn't feel like grabbing paper), but yeah. Although I didn't like this question: 1. true, 2. false, 3. not certain? The boy plays baseball. All baseball players wear hats. The boy wears a hat. In my opinion, it says that he plays baseball, not that he's playing baseball. Therefore, if he's not currently playing baseball, how do I know if he's wearing a hat? I doubt Derek Jeter's wearing a hat right now.
2009 Draft Analysis: Positives: Fearless. ... Sound tackler. ... Breaks down in space well due to good lateral quickness and balance and shows rare explosion as a hitter of his size. ... Can separate the ball from the ballcarrier as a hitter and has three forced fumbles. ... Instinctive defender, reads the action quickly. ... Smooth hip turn and has a short-area burst to close on the ball. ... Immediate standout in the SEC as a freshman. Negatives: Listed at 5-foot-10, and may be shorter than that. ... Questionable straight-line speed. ... Protected in coverage a bit by South Carolina's unique 4-2-5 scheme. ... Immature. ... Missed the Gamecocks' final game (Outback Bowl loss to Iowa) due to an academic suspension. Overview He lacks prototypical height, but Cook ranks as one of the better and more physical strong safeties of the 2009 class. An immediate standout for the Gamecocks, Cook left after his junior campaign. He earned all-SEC recognition all three seasons he spent at South Carolina. Similar to Indianapolis Colts' star Bob Sanders, Cook is at his best as a run enforcer and protecting the middle of the defense with his physicality and sound tackling. He'll need to perform well at the Scouting Combine -- both in workouts and in interviews -- to match Sanders' second-round grade. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2009/profiles/emanuel-cook?id=71263#profiles-tabs:players-analysis
Oh I am sure he will play hungry, this is his best shot to make an impression. A good showing here could mean an NFL career.
Good.... I like him as a SS/Special Team player... I just think there must be a reason if they haven't kept him on PS. Still good luck to him, good to know he'll get his shot. BTW move Lowery to FS pleeeease!
IDK about that, the Hartford Colonials are looking pretty special. We had to a give up a few shake weights to acquire him though.
