Yep. Tough set of circumstances working against us with him. Sucks losing him.

Fairley's a stop gap guy at this point, and will be cheaper, if we get him. Somebody may pay him more than we can afford tho too. So who knows what's gonna happen here. Bit of a mess really

if the Jets plan on letting Snacks and Douzable both walk, would much rather look into Ngata.

not a fan of Fairley at all.
don't see the value in that move.

Did anyone watch Deon Simon? I watched three preseason games but I don't remember him making plays.

we need to think long term.... and i dont see any longterm plan where we should be so heavily invested at 1 position. all our "top young players" should all be at 1 spot. we need to be more balanced with where our money goes.

I'll believe this signing when I see it. I'm thinking Mac was testing the water and was seeing if a short term signing was available to plug a hole on the DL left by Snacks.

They're doing their due diligence on the market.

But they're in a tough spot to negotiate with these FA's of any real value.

ngata is washed up. "ngata chance" we go after him. He's got too many miles on him. not necessarily too old but too beat up and thats compounded by the fact that his body is not in the shape it used to be

10 years of constant double teams took its toll

haha, well you definitely would have to use him in a rotation.
i agree he's not an every down player anymore, thought that might keep his price tag down.

i didn't see too many of Detroit's games.
the couple i did see, he was still an intimidating force. stuffing the run and collapsing pockets.
I'd consider him if the deal was affordable. If he ended up knocking the shit out of Br*dy just once, it would be money well spent.
