Sure you start with players A-L and I'll take M-Z. Dude its draft day of course rumors are flying everywhere why shouldn't we see if we can filter through the BS and see if someone strikes gold. This is the Highlight of the off-season sit back have a beer and enjoy the next 3 days cuz we got nothing to look forward to for a couple months.

wouldn't you think that if we did move up to draft spiller, Leon would be included in that deal. I mean its going to be a huge jump from 29 to get spiller, and most likely going to include a combination of picks and players.

For the record, I'd rather have Ryan Mathews.

Based on what, Spiller being better? After that, i'd rather have Cotchery over Andre Johnson.

because you like Mathews better as a running back or because we could draft him without trading up to the mid teens?

I still think we are best off going for McCourty at 29 or dropping back for more picks to shore up the DL/OL.

I think Tanny have given away enough picks over the last few years and has solidified some cornerstone pieces. We need the young guns to build up so we can remain competitive.

I realize that man. But for all we know, every prospect name that has leaked from Jets head office was done purposely and is total bullshit. We may well draft a player than no mock has had us picking. Half the speculation out there is based on dishonest, fake information.

I trust a former coach or GM's analysis of our team needs way more than anything a reporter hears or coach says when it has to do with the draft because in reality, we will draft for need and the people who have been in the game and now take an impartial look from the outside are the ones who will be most accurate.

I guarantee that Sanchez is drooling at the thought of another explosive offensive threat. We're talking about '98 Vikings, '07 Pats type of offense with Spiller.

    Let's see what happens!

Based on Ryan Mathews being a better running back. CJ Spiller can't run between the tackles.

Spiller's a hell of a prospect, but Mathews is a better running back.

I think we'd have to move up into the top fifteen to get Ryan Mathews.

I have a good feeling that he could go before Spiller.

I haven't read one place where Mathews goes close to Spiller.... I keep reading Mathews going in the last twenties, where Spiller is anywhere from 6-15.

If I'm a team like the Texans who need a #1 back, I'd take Mathews.

If I'm a team like the Jets who already has a tough between the tackle runner, I take someone like Spiller to add some outside speed and big play potential. It's harder to game plan for a team with such diverse weapons.

I agree with this. I still wouldn't mind another powerful runner like Mathews, but Spiller makes sense in our offense.

(I think I asked you this once before, but I forget...)

If we're looking for a RB - but not in R1 - what about moving up in R2 to get McCluster?

I think McCluster might be around when we're on the clock in the second round.

I personally think Spiller is extremely overrated and not worth a pick that high. Just because Chris Johnson came in and lit up the league doesn't mean that every little fast guy is going to do the same.

I really really hope this isnt true, and that if the Jets are indeed interested in moving up it's for one of the elite defensive players in this draft.

if we miss out on the 1st round HBs....I wouldn't mind landing the McCluster Bomb in the 2nd round....
