Safeties are one of the deeper positions in this draft. I'd take almost all these Eric Berry, FS, Tennessee Earl Thomas, CB/FS, Texas Taylor Mays, FS, USC (only one here I don't want on team) Nate Allen, FS, USF Morgan Burnett, FS, Georgia Tech Myron Lewis, FS, Vanderbilt Kam Chancellor, FS, Virginia Tech Major Wright, FS, Florida
Harris was a 2nd, Cotchery a 4th :wink: alot of talk of the Jags trying to get down to the eagles pick to grab Tebow and recoup a 2nd + whatever else
The only way we trade up and draft Spiller is if the plan is to let Leon go. A RB could be a draft choice for the Jets, I just don't think it's necessary for the 1st round.
Is it possible that Leon could be packaged with 29 to Jacksonville for their pick? The only thins is if tebow was gone they'd be so fucked but it'd be funny. Jones Drew and Leon could be a pretty good combo though.
I know what you are saying and there is talent at safety this year but Berry is the only talent of that group who might be worth throwing the rest of your draft away for IMO.

Obviously a smokescreen. No way we need Spiller as deadly as the combo of RB's would be. Do you think if the Jets were this interested in Spiller they would let it out publicly? No, if we are moving up we are moving up to get Graham or one of the other highly touted defensive players. JMO

Every single Jets beat writer is now saying they expect the Jets to trade out of 29. Twitter is so smokey right now I can't even read this shit anymore. The same people who are saying we will go for Spiller are now saying were getting out. F this 4 hours to go.
Spiller is much more than a running back - he's probably the most versatile offensive player in this draft. If the reports are true about the Jets trying to move up for Percy Harvin, then this makes perfect sense. CJ Spiller is an amazing talent. He'd be a perfect compliment to Shonn Greene. The only thing that worries me is that he's injury prone too.
