I'm sorry, but I'd bet my house that you didn't even know who Reggie Nelson was a week ago!! And now you are, as usual, hitting the panic button and claiming the season is ruined because an average safety elected to stay with his current team that had a ton of money to spend. Not only that, you want to fire the GM and the HC because of this one failed free agency signing. You are a piece of work. Why don't I save the wear and tear on your keyboard and on your wrist tendons 28 Martin's next 100 or so posts will be about how Sanchez sucks Tanny should be fired for not overpaying for any of the top free agents Ryan should be fired because nobody will come play here anymore after the embarrassing loss to the Giants and the utter failure of finishing 8-8 last year Ok. Now you can go away for about 2 weeks.
What are you talking about didn't hear about Nelson? I remember him from freakin college, let alone the NFL. And he was good last season... What kind of comment is that? You just lost your house, congratulations, but at least you made an inaccurate comment,, that's something.
You just won't give up on this, will you? You still think that the Jets somehow screwed and would have been a better team with Richardson, Woody, Ellis, and Cotchery. Tell me, where is the production in 2011 from those 4 players? Two weren't wanted by anyone else (one is a hundred years old and the other is physically incapable of playing NFL football, but let's shower them with money) one was grossly overpaid by the Pats for a tackle a game and the other spent most of the season in the trainer's room.
Ok. You get the gold star for knowing Reggie Nelson. Let me put it this way then - two weeks ago you did not believe that the Jets 2012 season hung on acquiring him and now that he stayed with the Bengals, you are in your typical Chicken Little mode. With you, the sky is always falling, the current players and FO are terrible, and the Jets will never win. You make Champ look like the President of the Optimists Club.
You're the one who doesn't get it. Veterans in Richardson's, Woody's position for the most part are looking to stay with their team. They aren't willing to go to another team at this stage. So it's either Jets or retirement, especially in Richardson's case. The Jets embarrassed themselves... They let most of the character guys go, and the result was a collapse.... Wake up.
I'm sorry, but anybody who keeps claiming the Jets should have thrown money at old washed up or injured non-productive players just does not understand the sport. How do the Steelers get the reputation for being the best run franchise in the NFL when they get of more vets than any team in the league??????????
I'm glad you have such inside information. That is why you post on a message board with the rest of us. I am very impressed. "No one wants to play for ...Tanny or Rex" I guess in a year or two, the Jets are going to have to fold because they won't be able to fill the roster. OK smart guy. How do you know so much? And who should the Jets replace Tanny and Rex with?
I like Rex, i'm not looking for him to be replaced. Tannenbaum for a long time i've said is overrated. People acting like he invented ways to beat the cap, it's all BS... He's done an ordinary job as Jets GM. For every move up in the draft for Harris or Revis move, there is a Vlad pick or a Kyle Wilson pick or Scott overpayment or veteran screwing. I'm not asking for anyone's job, just not impressed with the GM.
Good let the Patsy's overpay for Landry and watch him play 3 games and then be out the rest of the season... on another note you 2 guys should quit acting like 2 years olds...
Absolutely..Tanny screwed this one. He needs to open the fucking checkbook. Sick of this Chas schilens drew Stanton one yr bullshit
Nelson not signing hurts, despite what the Sunshiners would have you believe. He was the best available cover safety. The Jets are not only frighteningly thin at safety, they are completely devoid of anything resembling a cover safety at all.
