I take Richardson everytime and twice on Sunday over the terminator. All I know is the team had almost no character after screwing all these guys... And now, the guy on the team with the most character, Tomlinson, he's getting shown the door.
The more and more I read what you write I see you don't have a clue about this business. The key word is BUSINESS it that before anything
thanks UK-----I am looking but not sure if anyone jumps off the list thst I like---I must admit there are guys here that I know zero about---anyone care to add to this ? are any of these guys worth a look---there has got to be someone better than Eric Smith on this list ? No ?
I said this in another thread and I will say it again I keep getting the feeling that the JETS feel this roster is full of talent and under performed last year. I hope that aint the case ,,I mean it would seem they really want to address the safety issue but if Nelson balks and Landry does not come--what do we do ? Draft Barron resign Jimmy and hope for the best ? I hope these guys have plan B and C but I have been afraid since last year that the off line was never and has still not been addressed (ps Winston is now a Chief ) and our RT is still a turn style---but I stray--we need serious safty help
I was surprised by that as well. Even though we saved 8 mill for this season, we should have kept Weatherford. He had a couple bad games in the post season, and his amazing play gets forgotten easily. He was a pretty big factor in the Giants post season success this year. It's similar to how so many hate Sanchez on here almost exclusively because of his last 3 games this year. Also I just love it how everyone's like "OH NO! Nelson is deciding! That automatically means no! We're screwed!" There's this thing called patience. It helps. Don't forget, Rex has a good rep when it comes to defense, and playing for a top D would help attract a player, especially if he knows Landry is coming, and how good the other DBs are on the Jets. It's like a dream come true for them. I think they'll make it happen. It almost nullifies elite QBs. Bengals aren't the future. Jets are.
Ellis signing with the Pats will give us a 5th round compensatory pick. Not only does Ellis screw over the Pats for $4mil, it also helped the Jets with the pick. How can ANY one complain about that??
I don't know, but people have been complaining ever since he rejected the vet minimum and took 4 times as much to play 15 snaps a game with the Pats.
We can still be fine. If get TE upgrades, a #2 wr, dl depth, Landry, Benson, etc were fine. We can just draft a guy who can cover early. If he dont come here its cuz he wants too much $$$, and we did the wise thing and moved on
Thats not true. Nelson is good, but like DCM said, if he doesnt come here, its bc he wanted too much and wouldve been overpaid and wants money he doesnt deserve (and we have all seen what happens when players get money they dont deserve- Pace, Scott) Its not like we are the Dolphins who need a QB and if they miss out on both Manning and Flynn then there offseason is a failure. If we have a very good draft and get 3-4 starters and sign Landry and maybe one more player that can contribute, then this offseason can be a huge success. Trade opportunities open up also, for example Jonathan Stewart could hit the trading block, and if by some miracle we can get him for a 4th rounder or less, then this offseason is off to a VERY good start.
If they Jets had given him a good offer he would have signed....Tannenbaum the accountant is trying to low ball him.
