Lito is making 25M over 5 right now so we can easily get him for the same money. Its about what we need to part with to get him. I'll use a 4th/5th rounder on him.

That's unreadable at this time of night.

Lito would another sick pickup though. Him and Revis, with Rhodes cleaning up. Makes me tempted to wish we pick up another top ranked college safety. Haven't really paid the safeties much attention this year though. Any big time ones coming out?

No, no and no. Unless we can steal him from the Eagles (which won't happen), then there is no reason why we should make this trade. Sheppard has injury concerns and we have a lack of draft picks at this point. Four draft picks last year, and no 3rd and 5th any more, we can't afford this type of trade.

The only way I see this happening, and this is pure speculation at this point, is that we trade Robertson to Denver, Denver sends a 3rd and 5th to Philly and Philly sends Sheppard to us.

Reid is moving his other corner to safety they said. If so, then Lito isn't going anywhere. I don't see what incentive Reid has for tying one hand behind himself in the Eagles' secondary.

are you serious the eagles do not need a dt at all, mike patterson and broderick bunkley are both extremely young and good.

I'm certainly not an Eagles fan, so I'm not that familiar with their depth on the DL, but I was listening to Sirius NFL in the car and some Eagles fans called in to rave about Asante Samuel and the hosts mentioned in each and every one that they either "needed more beef on the DL" they "need to shore up the run D up the middle" they "need to step up their run D" etc and each time it turned from Asante to DTackles.

    That's all I'm saying.

OK they might need some "depth" on the dline but why would they trade for a guy with such a huge contract to just become depth?

Sheldon Brown is a very good cover corner, that's not an easy move to make.

I'm not sure if the Eagles have or plan to outright release Sheppard, but they've lost a lot of leverage by signing Samuel. Teams know that they have to deal Sheppard now and it will diminish what they offer as compensation.

Personally, I think Lito Sheppard looks great in Green. Fuck the salary cap; you think Dan Snyder regrets all his crazy signings? For the last 3 or 4 years everybody and their brother has said the redskins are screwed because they don't respect the salary cap.

They made the playoffs last year in one of the toughest divisions in football.

Come on Lito! Come fly with the Jets!
