I view J.Taylor as a mercenary that fills a need for this defense....nothing more, nothing less. I can't believe i'm gonna say this.....but i hope he takes the deal. I want this defense to be able to rush the passer with a 4-man front.
can someone tell me the extent of the things he called jet fans that was so terrible? was it that some fans take the cl out of class? is that the awful thing he said?
He also said that we aren't the people that work on Wall Street. I think JoeJet took that one to heart particularly.

Oh no. Jason Taylor gets bitter when he loses, or when he gets heckled. I seem to remember Calvin Pace shit-talking the Phins' wildcat after they beat us with it. Jason Taylor acts like a bitch, we get it. But he also is a pass rusher, and we don't have a natural pass rusher, and Rex thinks he can use him. So, people are going to be angry if we sign him. Yes, well, Jets fans seem to get angry for many different kinds of reasons. I'd rather see Jets fans booing Jason Taylor in a Jets uniform than see Jets fans cheer Chad Pennington as he gets injured in a Jets uniform.

He's an ass, but if he were to be our ass it would be much different I suppose. Most of the leagues fans probably hate Bart Scott and we love him. I still fuckin hate jason taylor though.
LOL! I may have to get one of those :rofl: On paper: Former DPOY, pass rusher, sack collector...... Is at the end of his career, but skill set fills glaring need for the JETS. Reality: Still a serviceable player, but will be 36, play has been in decline since the big year of 2006. Not exactly a "winner" or "clutch" player over the years. Misc: Probably Public Enemy #1 in the eyes of the Gang Green (without Chuck D's lyrics ) over the past decade. X factor: Definitely a depth upgrade over Gholston, etc, but I can see some bad Karma, mojo, or whatever with all these factors if he comes to the JETS...... yes, this isn't rational, but watching the JETS for 30 years can do that to a person. :shit:
