Fireman Ed just took a step up in my book. I hate both teams but the way the Giants as an organization have treated us, the way the fans act towards us I don't get how Jet fans don't hate them more.

I am not sure the Jets organization has been mistreated by the Giants organization. Afterall, the Giants did not put a gun to the Jets head and tell them they had to play in Giants stadium..... The Jets made that mistake all by themselves.
I don't get it. How did they try to fuck us over for Snell? We drafted him and they drafted him. They offered him a contract and we offered him a better one so he signed with us. If anything the fact they tried to get us out of NY is an actual reason to not like them but not because of Snell. That was happening with every team during the AFL / NFL war.
Read the book 'Namath' it goes into it. How like the Giants were embarrassed about competing with the Jets to get players, and would never come public with that.

Taylor wants to win a ring and it's pretty clear that by coming to the Jets this is his best chance. I understand people hate him but my allegiance to the Jets comes before my personal feelings about a particular person. I have a hunch that if he comes in and has 6 sacks and people's attitude would change. In the Cimini article he says Taylor had 3 sacks against Buffalo... did he forget we play them too? If we had that in the 1st game against we may have won that game. I may not like the guy but I think he can come in and be an immediate contributer and make us a better football team and that's all that matters.
I can only imagine the first game if he signs with us. I picture bottles being thrown at him from stands. I still can't believe this is even a possibility.

Okay, but I'm sure they were "embarrassed". The AFL teams were considered a step below the teams of the NFL despite the argument that the Chargers had the best Pro team in 1963. I assummed you were saying that the Giants were doing some dirty tactics towards the Jets to persuade Snell to sign with them and I hadn't ever heard of anything like that. It seems I mistook what you meant.
Gotta disagree Rich.....that new set of coil-overs might make your car handle a little better too, but you still don't pimp your sister out to buy them. I did - awesome book. Probably the best unauthorized biography I ever read. I was thinking about the JT to Jets thing. I actually think it would work to his favor, as well as the fan, if we just keep hating Taylor even if he is on the team. He can be that one guy on the team that the fans hate on...even more than Gladys. It would be kinda fun to have an asshole on the team. Kinda like Kyle Turley or Romanowski. Just a thought
Makes no sense to me.... Ed must have jumped off the bridge already cuz if you hate the Giants that much then Parcells coaching the Jets must have been the End Of The World... I know how to hate teams, I hate the Mets, I hate the Red Sox and DAMN I HATE THE DOLPHINS!!!!!! But, the Giants, whatever, I respect them as one of the older New York fanchises like I repsect the Yankees and Rangers.... I actually enjoy watching the Giants and predicted their SB run back when Giant fans were jumping off bridges when Eli threw picks all over the place Vs Minny that year.

Parcells hadn't coached the giants in 7 years when he came here and we were coming off of 1-15, I respected those great Giant teams too but I hated them. That wouldn't mean I'd be dumb enough to not want someone like Parcells to coach us or some of their great players to play for us.
