Agreed! Washington will want too much money for a scat back anyways.

I would pick up Torain in a heartbeat. He was Shanahan's guy, but he can probably be had pretty cheaply given his injuries this season. Hillis is an Alstott type back who can block and carry from the FB position, but I think he commands a slightly higher price.

That's a statement I agree with wholeheartedly. That's why I keep saying I don't want Cutler for the price I think they'll want. Their latest posturing by McDaniels..."Oh, he's our QB. No doubt we want him"...just drives the price higher. I don't see anything less than 2 #1s getting Cutler, a package of 2 picks this year (1 and 3) and 2 next (2 and 3/4), or our first 3 picks in this year's draft. The only way we get him for less is if it's a draft day trade and Sanchez is still sitting on the board at #17. Even then, Denver will still likely try for 2 more picks.

^^^I'm pretty sure Atlanta had a couple of 3 team trades that season.

this is stupid to get excited over the fact that the Jets are interested in Cutler.. so are about 8 other teams... thats what happens when a team decides to put a top QB on the block.. bottom line.. we dont have enough to trade for cutler.. denver wants a QB becuz they cant go from Cutler to Simms.. its never going to happen.. denver wants a qb in return.. nd we cant givethem that..

Am I the only one that doesn't want cutler based on principal? The principal that hes a punkass. The thing Ive always hated about the yankees which will draw a parallel to this situation is the way they seem to arbitrarily sign free agents and ignore character and chemistry. Of course thats just one of many reasons to hate them but they are infamous for just reeking of desperation and signing contracts left and right, and this seems like what the jets have been doing lately. This is not a guy I would like to root for. Aside from all this I am confident we have a quarterback on our bench already that we wont have to even flinch for. Why don't we take a breath and try out our guys? Between my knicks whoring themselves out to lebron james 2 years in the fucking future and the jets desperate fumbling for a quarterback im getting annoyed.

Everyone can harp on this trade, but I don't see it happening. First off, the Broncos would be nuts to make a move that doesn't bring them another franchise QB. Even someone like Quinn is pretty much an unknown at this point. It's highly unlikely they trade Cutler at this point.

It doesn't matter what the Broncos want...Cutler is forcing their hand. The longer he's on that roster, the bigger the distraction he will be. Not exactly the best scenario for a rookie HC.

We may not end up with Cutler...but some team will.... his days as a Bronco are pretty much done.

You people really would rather have leon out and have cutler in? I would love to have leon as a career jet. Hes a respectable guy and somebody id like to root for. Cutler is not somebody I want to root for. I cant believe anyone would want that. Im all about winning here I want a superbowl too, but a lot of the reason I watch and root for a team is for their character, not that they are just a powerhouse. If all I cared about was winning id root for eli manning and the giants. But do I want to root for that goofball? Hell no. (id root for eli over cutler any day by the way)

Besides the fact that we dont need cutler to win, Im confident our quarterback is sitting on the bench right now as we dick around and conspire. Even kerry rhodes said he doesnt like cutler and feels clemens needs a chance to lead this team. I cant believe you can dismiss a guy like clemens behind that kind of offensive line he had that year. John Elway could be sitting on our bench for all we know because even he wouldnt have done shit that year behind that horrid o-line.

honestly all jet fans should be concerned with fucking winning a superbowl and to do that nine times out of ten you need a great quarterback, i love leon don't get me wrong but if this team has the chance to land cutler than without a doubt you do it... and maybe he is cocky and arrogant but look at it from his pov, the broncos told him he was their guy and behind his back try to deal him away, plus the coaching staff that they said would be kept next year was fired. He has the right to be angry especially when the new hc is a rookie biatch. At the end of the day i really don't care if cutler is a whiny bitch, all i know is that he would help this francise get to the next level and send a big fuck you to the rest of the league because no one really takes us seriously

random thought.... as many of you know i hate the idea of trading for Cutler. Not what we need...

    that aside,

Say Denver really likes Sanchez/Stafford as a replacement for Cutler, say Cutler gets dealt on draft day, with Denver on the clock at 12, and they turn around and draft QB to get their new franchise guy....

Lets see, your basing this off the fact that I said we already have a quarterback on our bench and even more absurd.....I like leon washington. Your quite the detective, you've sniffed out a new closet cleveland browns fan!

Cutler wants out of denver because of trade talks, hows he going to survive in new york? I give your opinion no merit if you try to convince me to bring cutler to new york when we have three guys on our bench that may very well do the job just as well but haven't been given a chance yet. And please, dont tell me we gave clemens a chance.

this is laughable...what do you care how he reacts to living in NY?? If he's throwing TD's and winning games for us...for the next ten years....does it really matter?! Cutler is 25, has a stellar record when his defense comes to play (i believe it's 12-1 when the defense holds their opponents to 20 points or less....or something along those lines)...and is JUST entering his prime. He's exactly what the Jets need to make them a perennial contender....the potential is there.

    Oh wait....you don't like his attitude......right.
