I doubt the Pats trade him to a division rval in us. Plus Asante Samuel for 2 first round picks is too much any way. Asante is nice but he's no Champ Bailey, if we give up any high draft picks it should only be to get Paul Oliver with a second in the supplemental draft, which id much rather do.

That sounds like smart business to me? Are you telling me the Jets would pay him 80 million?? Because that's what he's looking for. He'll end up in Atlanta with Layer Milloy never toi sniff a championship again.

    Cool your Jets

Let?s just get one thing straight.

Hell will freeze over before the Patriots allow holdout, franchised corner Asante Samuel [stats] to bolt to the Jets - unless New York is willing to part with two first-round draft choices. Of course, it will also take hell freezing over before Eric Mangini gives Belichick and Pioli two first-rounders.

So there is no practical way for Samuel to end up with the Jets, just as there was no prayer of Deion Branch going to New York last year. So any conversations the Jets have with Samuel are done with only the intention of poisoning the waters in New England.

I would love to see him come over but there is no way it is happening..we have already addressed our CB issues and if need to spend that much money or draft picks it is not going to be in an area that we have already patched up. Would be sick though.
