As I said before, non-NFL network subscribers will get the game in the Tri-State Area. The Giants game v. Denver was on UPN with the NFL network feed, logos...etc. So it won't be blacked out.
I'll be there for both of the primetime games. Mad excited. I can't wait for the whole schedule to come out.
Leave it to the NFL?!?!! I'm getting married sunday Nov 28th! WOW! This must be ment to be! Jets get a Thursday night game the week I'm getting married, cant get any better!
I don't really mind this, Thanksgiving is boring as shit and I won't be missing anything. My only problem is I'm not sure this will fly with the family. We're not included in the "tri-state area". If we were, I would have been able to watch the Toronto Bills game on regular TV last year. You scheduled your wedding during football season? Not sure if you deserve to get bailed out here.
Im not thrilled about this either. Theres too much going on that day...family, kids, food. Although I'd rather have the night game than the day game, usually we get home and get the kids in bed by 8. I may have to fake an illness so we can get out of my wifes aunts a bit early. Considering...on thanksgiving...the drive home from Staten Island to Monmouth County can take days.
It's not National recognition, nobody watches that game. last year it was denver and the Giants- 2 non playoff teams.
True but when the game WAS played nobody at that time thought that at least Den would be a non PO team
Screw this announcement. Football is made for Sunday, not f'n Thanksgiving Thursday! Just too many reasons to state why this sucks (yes I am a season ticket holder).
I just had another thought about getting to the game that night... Traffic up there (Turnpike, Rt.3 etc.) is fucked on a regular game day. I cant wait to see what its gonna be like Thanksgiving night!!
It's Thanksgiving, you have all day to drink up and do whatever. I can't believe all the bitching, what are we? Giants fans? We need to be 1:00 on Sunday all the time so we can catch the early bird special and be back to the home in time for shufleboard? It's the NFL, they play night games, now a Thanksgiving night game, that's the way it goes. If we're a good team, which for the moment we are anyway, we're going to be on at different times. Besides, we're going to have a 5-star restaurant to hang out in now if you so choose. I'll be out by my car and a few minutes late for the game as always, but now the stadium has been moved a few feet closer to my car, so I've got that going for me, which is, you know, kind of nice.
I am not so luck as to be in the tri-state area. Looks like I'll be headed out to watch this one. illinois isn't close enough to get this feed.
He mentioned 25.00 beers, I assumed he meant in the stadium. Unless he pays other tailgates 25 bucks for a beer.
My family does Thanksgiving in Manhattan so if my father and I are going, the train seems like a good option.
Oh yeah, then he be stoopid. I can only imagine what they'll charge for shit in the new place. If they have a 5-star restaurant, wouldn't it have a bar in it? They're going to close that when people paid $10 Gs to get in? I'm not sure. I'm sticking to my usual routine, works for me. I'm not a 5-star kind of guy.
