If we could do something like McCareins and a 3rd for Andrews and a 4th, that would be quite the steal. I doubt that we'd be able to pull it off though, probably would have to give up a 2nd.
This has nothing to do with this season and everythning to do with next season when they both are free agents.
I still think a second might be overspending. Maybe they can work out a deal where we get a 4th or 5th back after giving up our latest in the round 2nd.
Who is this guy?...he only started 3 games last year!!! Doesn't sound like anything to get excited about...now straight up for j-slack would be the shizzle. I don't, however, see the bengals paying 2.3 mil for a 3rd guy for the same reason the jets don't want to, especially with their young (cheap) talented WRs. I do believe that carson could make him a star, especially opposite CJ and TJ. He could be the stokely for them. A better bet is if they could work out a 3-way with j-slack going to some other suitor who gives the bungholes a 3rd or 4th. And 1.3 million isn't a lot for a good OL backup who plays multiple positions, so I won't accept that as an argument.
OMG I really think you're reading WAY too much into that!! Do you really think that 18 days from the 2007 draft, they're bringing in guys for 2008?
Andrews is a dominated run blocker that would fit nicely in on the right side. Get'er done! I'll give up a third for him.
Barton for Andrews-- great deal for both teams if we are really interested in moving Barton. Move my boy Vic inside where he belongs, and we're all good.
Yeah, the bengals who lost their 3rd receiver for half the year have a huge need at WR. Make we can sign JP Machado who hasn't played in years, only to trade him to sweeten the deal.
Stacy, the brother of Shawn Andrews from the Eagles, I think compares a lot to Murcus McNiel from the Chargers. Not only is he huge, he is also very athletic. He ran a 4.96 in the combine when he came out. (Adrian Jones ran a 4.93 at the same combine) I heard a lot of great things about him during the pre-season when he was drafted. Too bad he plays behind Willie Anderson, a top 10 OT in the league. Willie is getting older though, Stacy is supposed to be the eventual replacement for Willie down the road, so I would imagine Bengals doing everything they can to try to keep this guy. However, they did give Willie Anderson and Levi their other OT a new contract. A 2nd rounder for this guy is definitely worth it. Here is Stacy's prospect profile
I would give a 2nd for this kid. He is young and would be more ready than other prospects coming out of the draft. He fills our needs big time at RT or RG, I'd definitely want to go after him.
he is supposed to fight another guy in training camp for the starting guard spot so why the hell not get him fo a 2nd round pick lets be honest hes huge and could slide to rt and we could use some beef at the guard spot for 1 of our seconds or maybe we can tlak them into a 3rd and mac why the hell not
I love the idea of packaging Justin McCariens to get this guy. It sounds like this guy has plenty of potential. When guy who played that little gets a 2nd round offer, heads should turn. However, I wouldn't be in favor of using a 2nd or even a 3rd round pick on him being that we have so few picks in this draft...
