Suggest you get your Republican ticket
there is some real merit to that. He can be an assistant head coach.

AND an offensive coordinator: "New Jets’ HC Robert Saleh is expected to take 49ers passing game coordinator Mike LaFleur as his offensive coordinator, per sources."

    JD delivered the goods!

I bet after talking to Chargers and not getting an offer, Saleh called JD back. The dominoes are falling, and the Jets just made out like bandits!

If LaFleur is indeed the OC, you have to feel pretty good about that. He’s been able to do some pretty good things with some pretty awful talent in SF. When Jimmy G was healthy, their passing game ranked 7th.

Wow. 5 years. They must believe this is going to take at least two to turn this around.

Every train wreck has its day and gets turned around eventually, hopefully this is ours for a good long stretch of Jets Football

Would've preferred an experienced offensive coordinator to be honest, to go along with a rookie head coach. Pep Hamilton would've been great IMO. The pedigree with LaFleur is obviously great and Jimmy G sucks so turning him into anything is a positive.

Jets job is actually really attractive...not much expectations off the bat, tons of cap space, good GM, lots of draft capital, you can be a legend if you win

Any word on Marvin Lewis? HC w/experience wouldn’t be a bad idea. I’m wondering if he’ll just hire his boy to be DC though, probably like Bowles and Rodgers

Solid point Vilma. I would love to see an experienced assistant HC from the offensive side of the ball. That would tie this all together nicely.

My 9ers friend doesn't know who Matt Lafluer is, so that makes me a little nervous. Plus what's a passing coordinator? I've never heard of that position.

On a more optimistic side, I love the hire, and have faith that he knows it's the right OC for the job.

Pretty excited. Let's enjoy the moment guys.

That would be nice but I’m not that concerned with the DC choice...Saleh will probably run most of the defense I would assume unless it’s Marvin Lewis or someone like that
