I take it you haven’t done much research. Flavor of the month you say, As opposed to some rethread ex head coach as stale flavor of the past.

I might have slightly preferred Mike McDaniel, but can't complain about this at all if he's anything like his brother in Green Bay.

Saleh was one of my very top choices, amazing move!!

    fine by me

    screen shot taken

I know you gentle modern “men” don’t like strong masculine leaders, but you’ll just have to step aside and learn how we used to do it

Big win here IMO...love the fire and passion...but also, grabbing LaFleur for OC is just as much a win IMO as Saleh. Love it.

Stop the nonsense with masculine etc. we got your candidate. Be happy. I would love to be wrong. Let’s wait and see. I hope he surprises me and doubters and become the best HC we had.

My feelings to a T. I think we now have two guys at the top that know their shit and will work hand and glove together. Hoe freaking refreshing.

On record - I LOVE the hire. Great job Douglas. Hope he can put a great staff together. This team needs an identity and he gives them one. When Rex was hired I said he has to win in 4-5 years because his act will grow old but I don't feel this way about Saleh. I am happy

I wouldn't mind a former HC brought on to staff.
Maybe even a Marvin Lewis for DC..

Definitely a huge upgrade. Wherever he's gone, defenses have become solid. If he can do that with our defense and hire a solid OC, it's all up to the GM nailing the drafts to turn this thing around. We have the draft capital to do it.

Feels like we got the "top" HC candidate this cycle.

I can't even imagine being bummed about this. After Matt Campbell, Saleh with Lafleur as OC was best case scenario imo.

For the people who are upset, who would you have preferred? He seemed to be super high on literally everybody's list who covers the league.

Did you sit in on the interviews? Jesus Jets fans are insufferable. No wonder we are considered idiots by the general masses.

Agreed. I know this sounds unconventional, but I would actually extend Douglas 1 year now so there contracts align. I hate when the GM and coach are not on the same contract terms even though it's a year. Not my money so who cares? And it doesnt mean you cant fire Douglas early. But I really like lining them up together.

Not a huge fan either but I'll get behind it. Seems like a good leader and motivator at the very least and will obviously be a big coaching upgrade. Expect a MONSTER year out of Q. Williams if he's healthy.
