Also makes me curious if you trade down, grab a WR like Jamaar Chase, who’s offensive system at LSU was basically the Saints offense. He’d have a legit seamless transition to the pros and would be an immediate contributor much like Justin Jefferson was.
I agree but at the same time that could've been said about Mac and Idzik as well and they did plenty of things we all knew were dumb.

In an ideal world, we will trade down from 2 to get Smith or Chase. Then, trade up from 23 to land Lance. Beathard could serve as the bridge to Lance. By the time Lance takes over, the offense will be in good shape.
