Why are you so fixated on this one thing? I’d assume it’s because you can’t possibly argue against any other proof provided to you that Loggains stinks but now I’m thinking it may be something more than that.

I simply said the article was ass and wasn't what the headline suggested.

    Nothing more than that.

    The rest was you.

  3. Guy must run the most haphazard practice EVER! Gonna run this team right into the ground w his poorly delivered candances during gassers. The horror!

And thise ink smidges, spelling errors & coffee stains on his game charts? This team just doesnt know football..

It's an article with no substance.

There are plenty of articles out there decrying Loggains failures.

This wasn't one of them and that's all I said before you got all defensive.

Then you're missing half the fun here!

But seriously, fans - the posters here - have a right to express their opinions, good and bad. You know this, so objecting to some exercising their right is just being contrary for the sake of being contrary. But hey - you're entitled to that too!

So you’re admitting you think playcalling and personnel decisions have no impact on a QBs development?

    oooooooook!

and oh yes.....they beat Patriots 2 out of 6....Bills 3 out of 6.... Jets 5 out of 6. that's 10 & 8 in the division with Tanny out 50% of the games. They had to be doing something rite.

Geezuz I wasn't arguing with anyone's opinion. Loggains may, in fact, suck. Probably does and I never said I liked the hire.

I was just commenting negatively on the article.

    Full stop.

We have no choice but to trust that Gase is a good hire and no choice that Gase hires a good staff. We won't know any of it until next season so I am taking a positive attitude. There is no way, zero, that our coaching will not be better then last year. I've been a member on this site for many years and I am blown away by how negative Jet fans can be with such little knowledge. Almost everyone's opinion is based on what someone else has written and without any first hand knowledge. And don't give me that same old Jet shit, its not real. If you look at all 4 sports, there are dozens of teams that have sucked for a long time. Our history has nothing to do with it, its the people making the decisions and Chris Johnson is 1-0 in his tenure. We have a QB!!! Is that the same old Jets??? HELL NO.

I would be worried if we hired a defensive minded coach, then the offense is all on the OC. But with Gase admittingly controlling the Offense & QB coaching, I am less worried.

We don't in fact have a franchise QB. We have a guy who may be a franchise QB. If he's good enough and the coaches and surrounding talent (or lack of it) don't ruin him. We won't know until next year.

Setting aside the fact that every time I see Loggains I immediately see Patton Oswalt, there are two big concerns I have:

    1. His track record sucks.
    2. This smacks of cronyism, plain and simple, and how well did work out for Bowles and Rodgers?

If Gase needs his "best bud" to be a security blanket and to provide moral support, fine, but don't put him in a position of big influence like OC. make him a gofer or Moral Coach.

Well, if Gase fails it won't be because he was denied his choices for his staff.

Gase is the play designer, play caller, and QB coach.
No "big name" OC is gonna step into a role with no say in the offense and no play calling ability. Still, you need someone to run practices and be the "eye in the sky" in the coaches booth - hence, Loggains.

Understandable, but while it may be that no "big name" OCs would take the job, we could at least find SOMEONE who has better credentials than just being Gase's caddy.

I'm not going to pretend to know much about the guy but perhaps he has a needed skill set that we don't know about. It could be that he runs efficient practices, or he's good in the booth analyzing and relaying info. Who knows? That's all 'behind the scenes' stuff that we never hear about.
