Even overpaying for a rookie or Philip Rivers weren't real options. No way in hell TB was trading out of #1 for anything, and TENN was going to take Marcus all along. And Philip Rivers was never actually on the trade block. There were literally NO other viable options at QB. So people saying "we had a great offseason but no QB" make no sense to me. There was NO QB TO GO GET. If there was I am sure the Jets would have made a move and in a hurry along with 10 other teams looking for the same thing we are.
I understand your frustration bro, even though I wasn't born yet when Joe Willie brought home the Lombardi Trophy (was it even called that back then?) But let me ask you one question: looking at our roster from top to bottom, can you think of one Jets team since 1968 that was better on paper? (in other words, we may not have much longer to wait!)
Seriously?? The Jets are a 4-12 football team with a new HC, new OC, new DC and still the worst QB situation in the NFL. And you think the roster is better than the team that won the Super Bowl? BTW, anything on paper in May means crap. Let's see how they perform come September.
30th consecutive pre-season (at least) this has been said about the Jets QB by the Jets coaching staff.
