It's the new market that Woody is trying to corner, apparently. Breaking unnecessary news right after the Super Bowl. He sent out the tweet last year within minutes of the game being over that the team was getting new uniforms. I wouldn't be overly surprised to see him do something similar this time around.
Breaking !!! Jets moving on from AR Just saw on NFL network The Skies are clearing for Jets to takeoff!!
Per Glazer: Big scoopage: Aaron Rodgers flew back to New Jersey last week to meet with the Jets about his future with the team, only to be told that the team was moving on from him. If that means that he will be a June 1 designation that allows him to sign with any team in the league on March 12 if he decides to continue to play. Given that Aaron made the effort to fly back to discuss his future, all signs point to him continuing to play. It just won't be for the Jets. @NFLonFOX
Glazer is legit. @SOXXX2 not sure what your sources are, but it sure looks like they were wrong. As I said before, there was overwhelming probability he will not be back, and looks like that's exactly what's happening: https://x.com/JayGlazer/status/1888659312526127389 Now, let's hope Fields will be a Jet on March 10.
Starting fresh always seemed like the likeliest outcome and makes sense given who Rodgers is, what he'd likely want on this team, and the incoming regime. No qualms about this under the circumstances. Fields is an intriguing player but not sure how good he really was last year and I think he'll get overpaid. Kirk Cousins as a bridge QB is interesting. No problem with Tyrod coming back. They also need to take a swing on a QB by the 4th round or ideally earlier. I'm really interested in Kyle McCord and think he'll end up being a Day 2 pick.
Saw it here too: https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/...-rodgers-they-are-moving-on-from-quarterback/ They're citing Jay Glazer. Sources are copying from other sources, copying from Glazer. So, it must be true.
What a complete and utter failure the Rodgers era was. Ended up being worst than I originally thought. He’ll probably sign with the Raiders or someplace and find the fountain of youth.
I think we can pretty much take it to the bank that Rodgers will appear in a playoff game next year while our playoff drought extends to a 15th season.
Ok so you spent years here repairing your image as a complete goof ball and then follow up with stuff like this corny ass stuff as if you have sources inside the Jets building. Cmon man.
There are so many morons on Twitter crying over the Jets parting ways with Rodgers. It's the right decision. It's time to move on.
JD pushed 49 mil of Rodgers' CAP down the road (that the difference in the salary he was paid in 2023 and 2024 and a much lower CAP number that we had for him these years. Here is now it can be handled. - Bite the bullet and take entire 49 mil CAP hit this year. OR - With 6/1 designation split 49 mil into 14 mil this year 2025 and 35 mil in 2026. "As a 6/1 cut: They'd have to carry his '25 cap charge ($23.5M) until 6/1. Then it would drop to $14M -- a $9.5M savings. BUT ... they get hit with a $35M charge in 2026." https://x.com/RichCimini/status/1888673461242913055
I actually did but clearly the source fed inaccurate information but I'll own it. I was wrong. To bad ralebird didn't take the bet I proposed to him yesterday. However with that said I'm likely taking a step back from this team. This whole off-season has been a complete disaster and now it continues.
Yep 100%. I hope Rodgers goes and wins. Dig this knife deeper into this franchise and fanbase. They 100% deserve it on this one.
