hey wait a second, didnt that manning guy win a superbowl? yeah i think he did. or was that the defense that led them to that superbowl? let me ask you a question, did you play football? if you did to what level did you play it?
You of all people shouldnt be talking about asinine quotes... You are like a gold mine for that shit. And for what its worth, I think we would have been at least a 10-6 team with Peyton. Mark was down right awful this year (not sure you see that because you still defend him to the death)- he was a bottom 3 QB in the league. Statistics prove that, regression in mechanics and fundamentals prove that, his lack leadership ability and confidence prove that, watching the actual games prove that, ect. The awful QB play was the biggest downfall of the team this year. Yes, we had a lot of injuries that brought out a lack of depth, but Peyton would have made due with whatever receivers we had turning Jeremy Kerley into a probowler. The coaching issue? That would have been gone because Peyton runs his own offense... Sparano would've been taking notes from him. So no, I do not think Armand's quote is asinine in the slightest, especially compared to the crap you come up with and how you defense one of the worst QBs in the league endlessly based on games 3 years ago.
It's as simple as this: some members on this site have nude pictures of nacho on their bedroom ceilings, but most on this site do not. Blind love for the worst Qb in Jets history, it is so sad! Next season we will see, and when nacho doesn't let us all down with his play, roasting time will follow!
The D clearly led them to both SBs shutting down great O's like Gb and NE twice. Eli played well, like Sanchez, but the D drove those runs just like our D drove our runs. If their D would have faltered they wouldn't have won, opur D faltered and we didn't win. Yes, I played for many years. That has nothing to do w/ this discussion. if I didn't like your avatar I wouldn't be so nice right now. name me the 4 games we win w/ Peyton that we lost w/ Mark? Peyton has NEVER not had elite weapons to throw to but I'm sure he would have turned Chaz Schilens and Clyde Gates into stars!
i didnt say it had anything to do with this discussion. where did i say it had anything to do with this discussion?
It's good to know that you have a nude picture of nacho's taco above your bed, you didn't have to remind me though. I already knew your status on sanchize! My wife even admits he sucks, that's sad considering she watches more pop Warner than NFL! Maybe you should watch more children play too, you might learn something!
I'll do it. Tennessee, San Diego, Houston, Miami, Buffalo. We would have been competitive in the second New England game, the SF game, and the Seattle game.
Titans game is obvious. I would also say the Seahawks, Texans and 1st Pats game, and also even the Chargers and Bills games. Basically any relatively close game, with Peyton I would say there's a very good chance he would have swayed the outcome the other way. If you cant see that the poor QB play was one of the biggest problems with this team this past season then Im not sure what games you are watching...
The first game against Patriots, Texans, Titans, Bills and the Chargers. We would have won all of those games with Peyton as our QB instead of Nacho.
lmao @ those that thought Peyton would win us the 2nd Pats game. No one did anything right that game. The butt-fumble wouldn't of happened, but everything else would of
The D is to blame, QB doesn't control ST or defense (until the point the QB does control them because someone needs some additional arguments), the lack of talent, the play calling, the coaching, the opposition. I think that's everything except the QB position. I think it's silly to say Peyton wouldn't have gotten us more than 6 wins. A lot of games turned against because of poor play from the QB that then spiraled out of control. It was a bad season for us, but a lot of mistakes came from one position on the team, the position we are upgrading in this hypothetical.
Sanchez cost us the game where we could of won it late twice. The OT game with the classic Sanchez strip sack to end it, and the Texans game with the game on the line and less then 2 mins to go he throws a high ball to Cumberland that got picked off, He cost us so many games this year because of turnovers i lost count at this point
I would go as far to say that if we had Alex Smith (who Im not a fan of) we would have won 9-10 games this year. If we had someone who doesnt turn the ball over more than once a game we are probably sitting at 8 or 9 wins. With an average QB, probably 9 or 10, and with an elite QB like Peyton? 10+ wins. Despite losing Revis, the defense was very good for the most part. With a QB that can read a defense pre-snap and make his reads quickly like an NFL QB should, the defense can not stack the box vs the run so that improves also directly with the QB position. There's no doubt in my mind that we make it to the playoffs with a top 10 QB.
