    Bart can still make plays and he is an above average run stopper, his tackling was below average this year and thats why we all dont give a shit if he gets cut.

    On the other hand were getting nothing out of cutting him and saving a measly 3 million if we trade him. I for one would rather have a pissed off motivated Bart Scott who is slimmed down and hopefully a bit quicker, than a conditional 7th and 3 mil in dead money.

    TLBs are like power runningbacks, they have a short shelf life because of the punishment that they take. Bart's game is only going to continue to decline. Best to cut ties now. It was necessary to overpay him when Rex first got here, but his usefulness is waning.

    Agree 100%. Not to mention, having a disgruntled Bart around is the last thing a team with chemistry issues needs.

    I remember watching Berning in preseason last year and thinking he seemed like a perfect replacement for Bart. Guy was shooting himself into lead blockers like a missile.
