How did we get f'd? it's compensation based on number of players lost vs gained, it's not about the quality of those players.
That dude that projects the pick was right once again. He predicted only ONE pick, but that itd be in the thread. Hats off to him
For next year I predict we will get nothing. But on a serious note wonder how the guy did on the other projections? What was it 2 wrong in the last 6 years
Adam came up with a formula that's obviously almost exactly what the NFL uses. That's why he's rarely wrong. He was wrong this year about which teams would get the extra picks, though.
Yeah there were 2 Tenn 7th rnders that werent on his list so thats why we didnt get that extra 7thrnder.... He had some wrong but he can predict this stuff better than me and I dont have the time to do all of the teams.
that's fine with me - I would have preferred another 7th or 6th, but as long as we get a third, I['m pretty pleased.
Of course. And you have people crying that they didn't get some BS 6th or 7th rounder, so ridiculous.
5 picks in the top 100. I think the Jets are sitting pretty right now. I'm looking forward to this draft. -X-
You can't use comp picks for anything other than drafting a player in that spot as set by the NFL. Can't be traded away or used to move up, etc.
This is great. The way I look at it is the guys that left were not and/or did not want to be here. So we get a third round pick for something we were not going to have anyway. Looks like the Jets made out well for a change.
about your sig -- we're not getting croyle with the last pick in the 3rd round. He'll be gone way before that, guaranteed.
I know you can't trade compensatory picks. But can you trade the player chosen with the compensatory pick? It may violate the spirit of the rule. I would expect a lot of teams at the conclusion of Day 1 will try to get a player that may have fallen too far in Rd. 3 and that would be a no-brainer #1 pick in Rd. 4.
