Really sorry to hear that about Donahue. I had hoped that as the season progressed, he would get more and more playing time.
I didn't know anything about Stinson or Gwachum, so I looked them up. Stinson is 27 years old. has spent 3 years with Arizona. In those 3 years, he has appeared in 29 games, started 5, has 26 combined tackles, one sack, and one pass defensed. Surely there must have been someone else better on another team's PS. He played for Bowles in 2014, so that must be why they signed him. I wonder why a 4-3 DE. He's a little light to play the 3-4 DE position. Gwachum is 26 years old, is an OLB, and has been with the Cardinals for 2 years. In those 2 years, he has appeared in 10 games, started none, has 8 combined tackles, 2.5 sacks and 1 FF.
This is what I hate, some of these poor guys are in and out like a yo yo, WTH do they do when they are left in limbo for two weeks and then brought back in from the cold, do these guys never feel like telling them to get fucked you either like me or you don't, tbh I would go back the CFL and have myself a nice little career rather than be treat like a piece of meat. Or the practice squad needs to be made bigger so people don't have to be chopped and changed on a whim.
Yup. The one thing i liked about the kid was his fire & motor was the same thing that ended his season.
Poor Bishop must know what a yo-yo or Fli-back paddle feels like. https://www.google.com/search?q=fly...PZ6NfWAhWJ5oMKHdzDAAUQ7AkIPw&biw=1920&bih=941
I've thought for years that rosters ought to be expanded to at least 60 players, if not 70 and have all eligible on game days. They aren't because the owners don't want to have to pay more to PS players or pay to house, feed and fly them all to away games. College teams have 80 players, I think. I think they all travel, too. If colleges can do it, the NFL can. It's just greedy owners.
Does he need surgery on his elbow? Did he tear a tendon? How is it injured? I don't think I recall ever hearing that a football player had to go on IR for an elbow injury unless his arm was broken.
He is too little...ive been watching him closely. He must develop a stronger base. He gets knocked down easily.
That unnecessary block prompted the penalty that sealed FG position in OT. Much respect. No I in team.
College teams can have up to 105 players but they don't all travel . The # of players that can travel is decided by the schools conference but it ranges between 60-70. Practice squad players get $7200 per week. Still pretty good money for a player not quite good enough to start in the league and they have a chance to make a roster.
Thanks. I know that owners are just greedy, but I think it makes more sense to have every player on your roster active on game day and with the team on the sidelines. I can understand PS players not being active, but I'm sure there are times when one or two of them could be used in a game due to injuries. Oh, I'd sign up for $7200 a week in a NY minute.
Ok make the practice squad bigger, the last guy on will still be let go and added at a moments notice. These guys know the deal and choose to live the life. I'm sure there are guys with steady careers that tell the teams no thanks after a round or two on the p.s. The guys that come back though, do it on their own free will. No reason to feel bad or angry or any other emotion for them.
Successful business owners tend to not want to spend more money then they absolutely have to.Their crazy like that.
