Jets re-signed Kalif Raymond to practice squad ......great roster management!!!! can't make this shit up
Jets have signed former Seahawks DE David Bass - pass rush help per Ian Rappaport and have release OLB Freddie Bishop
The Jets have released PR Kalif Raymond from the practice squad. They signed CB Robert Nelson to the PS.
Forte insurance I'd imagine. He's struggling on the field, has a sore toe and wont be here next year. He costs the team to cut though so the injury may be a chance to move him to IR.
So, who is getting bumped when Jalin Marshall comes back off of suspension? One of the TEs, Will Tye or Eric Tomlinson?
If Cadet is active I expect he'll return kickoffs. Jets had Stewart back there this week, although all kickoffs were touchbacks so he didn't return any. On a side note I like that Morton puts an emphasis on passing to both RBs and TEs. Also like that he puts 2 HalfBacks on the field at same time, so Cadet could be injury insurance there as mentioned. And I like how Morton has gotten creative at the FB position.
Yes, they are, but evidently that's the kind of RBs Morton wants. It makes sense. With a zone blocking (read finesse) OL,a power back would be a bit of a waste, especially if he wasn't a good receiver. He could get some yardage on his own, but the Jets aren't seeking a power rushing attack. They want more agile, flexible OL and their RBs to be good receivers. There also may not be any good power backs available at the moment. Hey, as quick as Lawrence Thomas looked on that reception vs. Miami, as long as he can hold onto the ball, I wouldn't care if Morton converts Thomas to FB and lets him run the ball in short yardage situations.
Per Jets App notification, Jets have placed LB Dylan Donahue on IR and have signed DL Ed Stinson and LB Obum Gwacham Jets have also brought back OLB Freddie Bishop on Practice Squad.
Jets have placed rookie OLB Dylan Donahue (elbow) on IR. Signed DL Ed Stinson and LB Obum Gwacham (Arizona practice squad).
