    The Jets signed WR Damore'ea Stringfellow to the practice squad and released LB Frank Beltre.

    Jets released two players from injured reserve and gave them injury settlements -- WR/KR Lucky Whitehead and LB Corey Lemonier

    Interesting. Wonder why they'd do that. Was it just a cost cutting move? They have plenty of cap space and I can't imagine that either was making that much. Could the Jets be that satisfied with their present OLBs and PR/KR? I can't see how that would be the case, or we've got worse problems than we thought.

    Jets have waived Claude Pelon.

    I'm guessing he goes to PS if he clears waivers. Maybe Simon gets activated in his place?

    The Jets are planning to sign LB Freddie Bishop from the practice squad, per source. They need Bishop because they're down to only six healthy linebackers, as a Bruce Carter and Edmond Robinson have been ruled out due to injuries. There's a roster vacancy because they waived DL Claude Pelon yesterday.

    In addition to LB Freddie Bishop, the Jets have signed DE Lawrence Thomas from the practice squad. To make room, they waived LB Edmond Robinson (injured).

    It is a harsh world but it is made all the stupider by Bowles giving him another chance after the major fuck up.

    A bit like the old James bond villains telling their subordinates after a fuck up, no no it is okay you can get another chance tomorrow, Bond is a slippery character to kill, just walk over that ramp on your way out, yes the one with the shark infested pool underneath, cya tomorrow agent 6.

    Would have cut him on the field as Rex used to say. Dude had 3 fumbles in 2 games, will gladly take the free catches of Kerley and no returns versus coughing up the ball.
