with white dropping faster than he would if he fell off a cliff, deangelo cemented himself back as the #2 RB in this draft, and just ahead of maroney, the pats are in the spot to take a RB, they need one...deangelo will go between the 10-25 range...maroney might also be gone before the 29th pick too

just checked NFL Draft Countdown and they have the JETS pickng D'Brickshaw, Carpenter, Mangold and O'Callahan
sounds pretty good to me BUT......
if we are able to get O'Callahan in the 3rd round wouldn't it be better to get Mario Williams if available or Someother play maker position player at #4 ???????

no because o'callaghan is either going to be a RT or RG in the pro's, that has no affect on fergusons position

    I'd like
    1A) Mario Williams DE
    1B) Marcus McNeill OT
    2) Joe Addai RB
    3A) Ryan O'Callahan OT/OG
    3B) Omar Jacobs QB

Wouldn't mind getting D'brick and Lawson or Wimbley with first 2 picks if Mario is gone.

Mangold would be tempting with #35, but I'd rather we approach C with free agency.
Addai reminds me a little of a young Curtis. same size, has good speed, good receiver, blocks great on pass protection, modest temperment. durability is really his only question.

I would love that haul but we would be lucky if any of those guys dropped that far. Its not gonna happen.

There is no way in hell williams will be there with the 29th overall pick, esspecially seeing that Lendale White's stock has dropped drastically. Trade our 29th and our second rounder to move to the 12-16 range and pick up williams, and i dont even think thats a great idea

Let's not forget the crazy picks ...

Somewhere between the 16th pick and the 29th pick a team or two will make some unexpected selection. We are usually that team. Johnny Mitchell, John Abraham, Jeff Lageman (starting to get nautious, must stop). If we are treating all these Draft Boards as gospel then we will have a chance at some type of "Value" pick like Mangold or D. Williams.

The best part of the draft is the midde of round 1. Some crazy-ass owner or GM is gonna fall in love with a player they feel is a secret "superstar" and will make the reach pick to get them. We love this because it F-s up everyone's plans after them.

For example, in my Fantasy Football league a few years ago I took Eddie George with the 7th overall pick (was a HUGE mistake) but it screwed up everone elses plans for the next 2 rounds. Could happen in real life as well. The old "we didn't expect so-n-so to be there, oh crap what now"

People will kill me for this, but I wouldn't mind D'Brick, Mangold and Jean-Giles with the first 3 picks.

Do you realize how much his stock has fallen? Basically all he's been is a touted player, with nothing backing it up in terms of play. In the biggest game of his life he had 0 tackles...0. I'd be completely shocked if he goes in round 1, or even round 2. He's been one of Longhorn's biggest disappointments in quite awhile. The guy should've been a beast every game, he never has. And his senior season was pretty bad, his stock would've been much higher had he come out after his junior year.

D'Brick, Mangold and Jean-Giles and would make us contenders in a couple of years.
