I doubt he's actually worrying about them during game day. Come on, Rex was smiling while he was flipping them off, he probably enjoyed every minute of it. On second thought, the best way to get to an opponent's fan base is to whip the shit out of their team. I hope Rex is worrying about the opposing teams' fans every week.
This should be no problem, Rex Ryan saves $50,000 for every meal he skips. No 2nd snack time tomorrow
DUDE??? Have you taken up my scotch habit? I've never seen you post something so...irrational, or ghey as that.....
jets management didn't realize that my fins already took sexy Rexy's lunch money twice this year already. We're coming for your lunch money again next year, so start saving up, yeah baby!
While you watched the Jets win 2 playoff games. Enjoy those 2 wins this past season, even you know the Jets are a team on the rise. And Miami last won a playoff game?......2000? Ouch.
Why do you guys insist on comparing two completely different events with different circumstances? The Bullitt play was during a game, nobody got hurt, and there's really no way to prove it wasn't an honest (stupid) mistake, so how do you justify a much higher fine? The punishment should fit the crime, and nobody can argue that was an insurmountable obstacle that cost the Jets the game. A fine which resulted from a head coach rousing up fans and then flipping them off looks way worse to the NFL, because it's been made a huge news story by the Florida/NY media - 2 large markets. Of course Rex is going to get the higher fine. The actions of a head coach have much more impact on a team/the league than a player, so naturally when he gets himself in a controversial situation the stakes are higher. There's no way the league is only going to fine him 50k based on their other fines (Bud Adams) and the negative headlines which Rex produced so if anything he caught a break. The NFL is a business, and perception is everything to them.
But that's the guy we hired, take it or leave it. He's not worried about those jackoffs, that's just the kind of guy he is, a shit talker and a shit giver. He learned his lesson though, I doubt this happens again (well, for at least a month)
What Rex did is not even 1/8 as bad as Bud Adams. To compare the two incidents is ridiculous. Maybe you should take your own advice.
I was just referencing a huge fine ($250,000), not the incident itself. The point is that NFL fines are usually pretty high recently when they want to send a message, not that Rex = Bud Adams. I apologize if that wasn't clear.
Blind as well as deef , read the whole thread Stevie Wonder. So if Rex 'Moons' Channing Crowder next week, exactly how much is that worth (money well spent)
You're killin me, Stevie Wonder can hear, you have to go with Hellen Keller there. Hmmm....mooning Crowder. If I had to bet, I'd guess between 150 and 200k, the difference being if he lets one fly while he's doing it. Definitely worth it. I think there would be a collection started to pay for that.
You got a source for this speculation? If the league feels that the team punishment is not harsh enough, then they can indeed exact further repercussions. It has happened before, and it "could" still happen in this instance. It just most likely won't.
owned? right, the only reason the jets got in is because the colts sat their starters, then played a crappy bengals team twice. The Chargers win was a nice one, but I wouldn't be pointing fingers and laughing knowing that the last time my team went to a superbowl was 41 years ago....
Irrational? Seriously, sometimes I wonder why people think you're smart. I understand the average idiot homer won't understand things like personal responsibility and impulse control. But I hear you "win arguments."
I'm not offended by his avatar.......I'm offended by the fact that you think you have the right to decide what offends me..... put that in yer pipe an' smoke it boy!
