    We'll see./ Cos, as it stands, this season is a statistical outlier.

    But, he could be the next Gannon or even Steve Young??

    Maybe after today it won't even matter anymore but I've been kind of mentally circling this Seattle game for weeks now as a potential problem. Not going to be so easy to go there and win that.

    Big congrats to Geno though. What a story.

    Lamar Jackson is going to be franchised for $45M by Baltimore. He probably will be franchised for $54M in 2024.

    It's the Kirk Cousins scenario with a twist: it's not that the Ravens wouldn't give him a top 5 long-term contract, it's that Jackson wants the best contract and the $99M he will get over the next two seasons is probably 25% below that number.

    I think it’s safe to say he would have been close to or actually great so long as they gave him average weapons and above average protection. I remember the hate for the guy and his dink and dunk play style but he was a technician and we’ve never had a QB like that since. White is probably the closest.

    In an interesting note, the seahawks remade their entire OL this past offseason.

    Schneider and Carrol made good use out of those extra picks , from denver, and their own picks ........

    the Jets front office should be taking notes.....

    I’m so happy for Geno but the Geno Smith experience isn’t going to last forever. He’s played decent this year but he’s still had a lot of Geno moments. Great redemption story for the NFL though.

    His name will come up every year as long as this board exists because every Jets drafted QB does but also because he sucked AND people hated him. Primarily his teammates. That’s a rare combo even around here.
