Oh my. If this isn't the perfect response, I don't know what is. Good job, Gustoonarmy. Fuck Brett Favre and the horse he rode in on. The man threw 9 INTs in our last 5 games (we were 8-3 going into that stretch) and he single-handedly killed... KILLED... our playoff chances. Good luck Minnesota.
That's why the coach was fired. That's why you have a coach to begin with. It's not sandlot. Don't blame Favre.
If it wasn't for Favre and his consecutive starts record any other QB would have sat out or gotten benched. Mangini's hands were pretty well tied on that one, and he had no backup. The owner wanted Favre, the coach didn't, the coach paid the price. The same thing will probably happen to Childress.
That entire post is nothing but speculation stated as if it were fact. I wonder what Zack Brett Mangini would think of it.
and you know that BF thinks the NFL owes him a living because....???? File this under BS that you made up based on nothing. Last time that I checked the Vikings were an NFL Franchise. Has that changed? Further he wasn't awarded a team by reputation - he worked out all summer in Mississippi and for the Vikes on multiple occassions and underwent a physical. In case you are unaware that is pretty much SOP for NFL franchises signing a future HOFer. They don't require him to fight it out w/rookies in two a days. Feel free to contact Zygi Wilf to express your concerns. he might be busy however counting all the revenue he has earned as ticket sales and merchandise skyrocketed after the Vikes signed Farvre. He certainly has improved the Vikings financially. And if you are unable to tell that BF is a better QB than Tavaris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels you should get your eyesight checked. Agreed. Some folks love him and others love to hate him. Good. You say that as if it would be a bad thing. Yes we will never know because its called a team sport. the entire team cost itself a shot at the POs last season. The Coaches, defense, ST and Offense collectively failed. Trying to pin that on BF is assinine. You could just as easily blame say that TJ or the OL or the pourous D or anemic special teams possibly cost a shot at the POs last season...but of course we'll never know for sure.... I think we agree on four things actually: he'll have a major tv contract waiting for him when he retires; he puts bums in the seats regardless of his image; he's a tough s.o.b. and he's a future HOFer.
No you cannot "just as easily" blame anyone. Who are you going to "just as easily blame?" TJ? Leon Washington? Kerry Rhodes? Justin Keller? The man made asshole throwing decisions trying to bolster his "gunslinger" image, at an unbelievably huge cost to the rest of the team. We went into Game 12 at 8-3. He proceeded to throw 9 INTs in the last 5 games, 4 of which were returned for immediate TDs, 2 of which became opposing TDs and the other 3 gave us such poor field position that we went 3 and out and left them with great field position that they eventually led to other TDs and game losses. Rumors were rampant that the DEF team was so pissed that words were exchanged in the locker room such as, "WTF are you doing man? If you can't stop throwing fucking INTs, take yourself out of the game." The man became a 2008 one-man wrecking crew on our playoff season hopes. Come on now, let's not write revisionist history, for Christ's sake. He stunk up the field good and proper. To deny that is not participating in reality.
What a load of crap. The Jets D got abused by cutler for 357 yds. Pennington drilled the Jets D for 251 and 2 TDs. TJ got shut down by the Seahawks & the Niners. the Niners Hill torched the Jets D for 285 and 2 TDS. The playcalling was atrocious in November and in December. If you want to blame BF for everything then you're are essentially excusing all the other parts of the team that failed to perform and just deciding to focus on Farvre. Yes he didn't play great but not all those INTs were his fault and he also had some decent performances in there that you conveniently ignore.
Q. How can you tell if a guy from Mississippi is married? A. There is dried chewing tobacco on both sides of his pickup truck.
About sums it up. I'm just glad he isn't our problem anymore. When you think about it, the Jets did a nice job avoiding a lot of off-season drama with him--we got him in August, gave him some time after the season and then cut him loose before the bullshit started again. Woody might not like it that he's back but fuck him too.
Mangini was an asshole as well, he knew that Farve was hurt and left him out there to ruin the season. Big SCREW MANGINI, too! Farve wanted to be in Minny from the start and he used us to get there, as bad as Noodle arm Penny was, he would never made some of those BONEHEADED Ints that Farve threw.
Mechanic finds 'Favre' goat in car trunk by FOXSports.com An auto mechanic in Winona, Minn. found out just how crazy things can be now that Brett Favre is a Viking. That's what happens when you find a live, purple-and-gold painted goat with a "4" shaved into its side in the trunk of the car you are working on. James Prusci told the Winona Daily News a woman brought her car in to have a belt replaced on Friday and warned him the goat was in there, saying she planned to butcher the animal later. She then waited outside with a man and a young boy while the mechanic went to work. Prusci said he heard the goat crying and opened the trunk to give it some air, when he noticed its appearance. It had been tied at the feet as well. This is probably a good time to mention that Favre was making his debut in Minneapolis that night, just a 2 1/2-hour drive from Winona. Prusci alerted animal control, who confronted the woman after she claimed the car an hour later. Winona Police Sgt. Chris Nelson confirmed the account and said the animal was in the care of a local vet. But there is no word whether the man or woman have been cited. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/9977930...9;-in-car-trunk That QB from Mississippi is driving a few Minny fans bonkers too!
